This is the 2nd Sansa Clip I've bought, one for my son and one for my wife. It's a great mp3 player. It looks cool, sounds amazingly good and is easy to use. It works with a lot of files like wma, wav, cda but not itunes aac files. Overall very nice player for little $$$.

The Sansa Clip is the best player on the market for this price range. I download alot of music and have had many mp3 players and out of all of them the Sansa Clip has been the best. I own 3 of them now for different types of music and different uses...it is the best

I was previously using a Sansa C240 but wanted to use Rhapsody (On The Go) where you can download any of more than 6,000,000 tracks to your Sansa Clip - but not the Sansa C240. You can either buy the tracks or keep your subscription going and never buy anything. Well, I ended up filling up the player the first week because I also downloaded some free Rhapsody Channels to the Sansa Clip so I could find more music while listening to the player.
If you plan to use this type of subscription service then you should think about a 4 or 8GB Player.

Very easy to sync.
I use it to while I work out and walk around.
The fm radio is fantastic when I travel so that I can listen to local stations and find out what's happening in the city that I am visiting and getting the local news. All at a GReat price!Yup it is very innexpensive comparing like products,
I gave it a 5 because I can"t think of anything I don't like about it. I chaged the ear phones and I get an even better sound.

I use it for reviewing music that I am interested in and studying for reproduction. My wife uses it to listen to audiobooks. Easy to navigate, good quality sound. Just the slightest bit clumsy in navigating back to previous choices. Otherwise, very satisfied

This is my first venture into putting and playing music on an MP3. I needed it for the gym. I did have some difficulty putting the music onto the MP3 player. I used Windows Media Player. I was not familiar with some of the jargon. I ripped music from CD's to play on the MP3. I thougt if you just dropped the music onto the MP3 it would be onto the player but you have to SYNC. Windows Media Player stopped working and I had to start all over again with my playlist. I like having all my classic rocks stuff on the player. I'm still figuring out how to use some of the controls. Pretty cool, I like it and I expect it may take some time for me to learn all the buttons. I wish it came with a little dock I could plug it into in the evening. I expect it will run out battery life when I need it most. Maybe it will warn me when the battery needs recharging.

Comments about SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 Player (Red):
I am very pleased with the Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 player by Sansa. It is very small, has good FM reception (SF Bay Area) and holds a charge longer than I tend to use the player in one or two days.
A few surprises. The voice recording is fair, but you have to get very close to the unit to get good recording.
The station presets works, although a bit cumbersome at first.
The one thing stopping this from getting a 5 Star is that you can't (at least I can't figure out how to) use a Mac (IMac, PowerPC or Intel) and ITunes to load your songs. Luckily I have an XP machine laying around to put my tunes onto the Sansa.
The headphones are reasonable, but if you're looking for the best experience then you need to get another pair of headphones.
The website states the size of the MP3 player, but I didn't pay that much attention. This thing is VERY small. About 2" tall, 1" wide and less than a half inch thick. About the size of a folding matchbox. Luckily the clip makes it easy to keep it in place.
The screen is a bit small to read if you use reading glasses. I've memorized most of the stuff I use since I can't read the screen without my readers. (I know, I'm getting old ;-)
The 2 Gig holds more songs than I would realistically carry around with me. I use it to take public transportation to work and ride my bicycle. Easy to clip onto a shirt or coat collar.

Small, sleak and easy to use. The clip is an added bonus and is much better than an armband. I did find the earphones to be uncomfortable though.

I picked this up as a secondary MP3 player, and am extremenly pleased! For the price, this is one of the best little players going (provided that you mate it with some good ear-buds). While the sound quality is not quite as good as my iAudio 7, for 1/4 the price, it's darn close! 2GB is plenty of room to store the music i listen to on a regular basis (approx. 450 songs in 128 format). I would not hesitate to recommend this product, [...]

This was my first MP3 player and it was a great deal. The product is top notch. I use it when I am cutting grass and I use it at work. I like the different eq settings. I have it on the custom so I can set it to suit my own tastes. I also like how you can have it play different genre of music. I use that a lot. I have everyhing from metal to soul and R&B. Sothat is a nice feature. It was well worth the money. Ed

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars are the ear phones. The sound is ok, but the ear buds are big and foam wrapped, which gets dirty fast with outside use and it comes off.
Other than that a GREAT ITEM!!! Voice recording feature is easy to use and so handy!!
More than enough storage for me.
Sync was a snap, as is the menu! You get a lot for your money.

can't comlain. 2gb is plenty for me, and the size/clip are convenient. I do worry about losing/smooshing it but that's my problem. ;-)
Also has a neat record feature (didn't see it in the specs or description so it was a pleasant surprise) so you can record notes, comments, etc. at will. Not sure how far away the mic works, but a nice bonus to have.
I did dock it a star because it can be tricky to find the songs you want (being able to set up categories would be cool, unless I missed that feature too), and when using shuffle it doesn't seem to cycle through all the songs thoroughly.

I bought this specifically so I could listen to free Overdrive Audiobooks from the library. Once I updated the firmware (which was simple) it worked well. I bought the 2Gig version rather than the 1 Gig after reading other reviews, although I think the 1 Gig would have been fine for the audiobooks.
Pros: Good value, tiny, display functions, FM radio.
Cons: Battery life, and I haven't figured out if it's possible to move through the book by chapters. Using Overdrive there are huge sections, and although you can fast-forward and rewind, you can't go directly to a chapter. If you can, I can't figure it out!
I also think the display options are kind of confusing at first, but easier to navigate through after using it for a while.

I've only had the Sansa Clip for about a month, so I can't comment on how well it will do long-term, but I love the small size and the fact that it can play FM radio in addition to MP3. Putting stuff on to the player is as easy as copy/paste, though it doesn't seem to retain the order of the songs (mostly podcasts for me), which is important to me. Controls are not as responsive as they could be, but for 1/3 price of an iPod, I wouldn't expect them to be.

I found this MP3 player to be at an attractive price and have good features. I did have some difficulty loading music but it was due misunderstanding the loading steps.
The FM player was a nice feature not found on other player.
I would buy this again!
