- eBay Best Shot Mode
- The eBay Best Shot mode is one of 41 Best Shot Modes featured in the EX-Z1080. eBay Best Shot takes photos at a size that is optimized for display on eBay, allowing picture takers to more quickly and easily create photos for selling items on eBay. eBay Best Shot mode also uses Auto Macro to capture images of small items such as jewelry, tags, etc. For further ease of use, eBay photos are stored in a special eBay directory on the cameras memory.
- Revive Shot
- The Revive Shot-Function gives old album photos a new and long life in digital form. Simply photograph the pictures and with the help of the trapezoid compensation and the color restoration features, yellowed and faded colors are improved automatically.
- Time Stamp and Date Editor Function
- The Time Stamp function enables you to give your photos a "time stamp" so that you can always see at first glance when you took the photo. The date editor function lets users easily adjust the date and time recorded with the image after the photo has been taken - great if the camera time was not set properly when you were shooting.
- Movie Mode and Audio Record
- The Z1080 is able to record movies with sound at broadcast quality using the next generation MPEG-4 H.264 video recording format that provides high quality video in VGA and Wide format without using a lot of memory. Plus the exclusive YouTube Capture Mode allows users to shoot at the optimum size and quality settings for YouTube, and includes an exclusive software application that makes it fast and easy to upload videos to YouTube. - Very Bright 2.6" Wide Screen TFT Color Display
- The Z1080 is equipped with an extremely bright and wide 2.6-inch Wide Screen TFT color display. The display is much brighter than that typically found on most digital cameras, so you can easily view your photos - even in extremely strong sunlight.
- High-speed Image Scrolling Function
- With the High-speed Image Scrolling function you can scroll through ten shots a second and thus find the right one quickly.
- In-Camera Image Adjustment
- The Z1080 includes a range of useful in-camera editing features. The Re-Size & Trimming features lets you change the size of the picture already in the camera or crop the image - then save the new image as a separate file. - Direct Print Capable
- You can connect the Z1080 directly to various printers and have your pictures in your hand shortly afterwards printed on photo paper. USB Direct Print is standard on most Epson printers and PictBridge lets you connects your camera to different manufacturers' printers.

I bought this camera after I broke my first Casio Exillim (dropped it one too many times!). I primarily take pictures and videos of my young daughter, friends, and family, but also enjoy expressing my "artsy" side and taking free-lance photographs as well. I must say, this is an awesome upgrade. The start-up speed (from power on to first picture) is much faster than older models, the camera takes clear, crisp pictures, and the multiple Best Shot modes ensure the best picture possible in any situation. It also had adjustable white balance and shutter speeds that weren't available in the older models. The video recording feature was the biggest seller for me; all videos are automatically created with the perfect file size and type, "YouTube" capable, which makes it perfect for posting and emailing the videos.
The only con with this camera, a minimal one to me, is the clarity of the LCD screen. Although the screen is large, it doesnt do the photographs justice (I choose to review mine with my PC before deleting them, simply because the LCD portrays them all as being somewhat blurry or not as sharp as they actually are).
Over all, great camera, great price for 10.1 megapixels. I would definatly recommend this one.
