Even with its compact size and attractive design, the EX-Z1080 is truly a high-performance digital camera. It is built with the highly sophisticated EXILIM Engine 2.0 - a high-performance, image-processing module that not only improves image quality, but also boosts performance. The camera also incorporates face detection technology and an auto-tracking AF system using motion analysis technology. Combining these two cutting edge technologies, this digital camera can detect human faces in an image while maintaining sharp focus and correct exposure for the human face.

Furthermore the camera contains 41 Best Shot scene modes making shooting in difficult situations as simple as pressing a button, and the unique eBay mode means that users can more quickly and easily create photos for selling items on eBay.

In addition to the high quality picture capabilities, the EX-Z1080 uses next generation MPEG-4 H.264 video recording for high quality videos in small files sizes. This camera also features Casio's YouTube Capture Mode, a Best Shot setting that allows users to shoot at the optimum size and quality settings for YouTube, the world's most popular video sharing site. Also included with this cool camera is an exclusive software application that makes it fast and easy to upload videos to YouTube in three simple steps.

• 10.1 Megapixels Resolution: The Exilim EX-Z1080 produces images with an incredible 10.1 megapixels of resolution, providing incredibly sharp and detailed images even when printed to poster sizes.

• 3x Optical Zoom Lens: The Exilim EX-Z1080 is only about as thick as your little finger - but has a 3x optical zoom, so you will be able to see the finest details and always be in the thick of the action.

• Exclusive Exilim Engine 2.0: The Exilim Engine 2.0 provides stunning performance while being extremely power efficient and enables the camera to be so incredibly small. This latest processor also incorporates Motion Analysis Technology that makes unique features such as Anti-Shake DSP, and Auto Tracking AF possible, along with incredibly fast shutter responsiveness, and burst capability.

• Anti Shake DSP: The Anti Shake DSP electronic image stabilizer of the EX-Z1080 reduces the risk of blurred photos if the camera is not held steadily or if the subject of your photo is moving.

• Rapid Flash: With the Rapid Flash function, three photos are taken with flash in the space of just one second, ensuring that you no longer miss those wonderful moments.

• High Speed Image Capture: If you keep the shutter release pressed, the EX-Z1080 takes a photo every 1.1 seconds, and the number of photos is only limited by the size of your memory card. The camera also has a High-speed burst function that can take an incredible 7 photos per second at 2 Megapixel resolution (using Normal quality and requires an SD or SDHC Card).

• BestShot Scene Modes: The Exilim EX-Z1080 incorporates 41 Best Shot scene modes available so you'll be able to take beautiful pictures, regardless of the shooting situation or your particular photography expertise. Simply select the sample scene that resembles the type of image you are trying to record and the camera is configured automatically with the applicable recording mode, Auto Focus setting, and more.

• eBay Best Shot Mode: The eBay Best Shot mode is one of 41 Best Shot Modes featured in the EX-Z1080. eBay Best Shot takes photos at a size that is optimized for display on eBay, allowing picture takers to more quickly and easily create photos for selling items on eBay. eBay Best Shot mode also uses Auto Macro to capture images of small items such as jewelry, tags, etc. For further ease of use, eBay photos are stored in a special eBay directory on the cameras memory.

• Revive Shot: The Revive Shot-Function gives old album photos a new and long life in digital form. Simply photograph the pictures and with the help of the trapezoid compensation and the color restoration features, yellowed and faded colors are improved automatically.

• Time Stamp and Date Editor Function: The Time Stamp function enables you to give your photos a "time stamp" so that you can always see at first glance when you took the photo. The date editor function lets users easily adjust the date and time recorded with the image after the photo has been taken - great if the camera time was not set properly when you were shooting.

• Movie Mode and Audio Record: The Z1080 is able to Record movies with sound at broadcast quality using the next generation MPEG-4 H.264 video recording format that provides high quality video in VGA and Wide format without using a lot of memory. Plus the exclusive YouTube Capture Mode allows users to shoot at the optimum size and quality settings for YouTube, and includes an exclusive software application that makes it fast and easy to upload videos to YouTube. The camera also features audio snapshot (with audio recorded at the same time as the image or added later), and a Voice Recorder feature.

• Very Bright 2.6" Wide Screen TFT Color Display: The Z1080 is equipped with an extremely bright and wide 2.6-inch Wide Screen TFT color display. The display is much brighter than that typically found on most digital cameras, so you can easily view your photos - even in extremely strong sunlight.

• High-speed Image Scrolling Function: With the High-speed Image Scrolling function you can scroll through ten shots a second and thus find the right one quickly.

• In-Camera Image Adjustment: The Z1080 includes a range of useful in-camera editing features. The Re-Size & Trimming features lets you change the size of the picture already in the camera or crop the image - then save the new image as a separate file. There are also image color adjust controls and other in-camera editing features available so you can get exactly the picture you want without the need for a computer.

• Super Life Battery: Thanks to the latest technologies, the Z1080 uses much less energy than earlier camera models. Add the extremely powerful Super Life Battery that is included with the camera and the camera is always ready for use, and takes up to 370 shots on a full charge (as per CIPA Standard).

• Direct Print Capable: You can connect the Z1080 directly to various printers and have your pictures in your hand shortly afterwards printed on photo paper. USB Direct Print is standard on most Epson printers and PictBridge lets you connects your camera to different manufacturers' printers.
