The SeriTek/2eEN4 4-Bay Host-Swap External eSATA Enclosure from FirmTek is a professional 4-disk hard drive enclosure, with an eSATA interface. It can accept up to four SATA hard drives, and is compatible with 1.5 Gbps and 3.0 Gbps drives. The enclosure features four external SATA ports for connection to a computer. It can be used as a RAID array via software or when connected to a RAID controller.
- eSATA Interface
- The enclosure connects to a computer using the eSATA interface. Four ports are present on the enclosure, one corresponding to each drive bay. Two eSATA cables are included with the enclosure.
- Supports SATA Drives
- The enclosure supports SATA I and SATA II hard drives. SATA I supports transfer speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps, while SATA II supports 3 Gbps. Each drive bay supports hot-swapping, allowing you to swap drives without powering down the enclosure or computer system.
