Contrary to the B&H print catalog, this camera is NOT compatible with ANY Pentax lenses. It is ONLY compatible with the Four Thirds lens system.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 SLR Digital Camera features an advanced 2.5-inch free angle LCD with full-time Live View, and a 10.1-megapixel Live MOS image sensor that provides beautiful images with delicate gradation and wide dynamic range. There is also a dust reduction system that utilizes a Supersonic Wave Filter to prevent dust from attaching to the sensor and degrading the pictures. Plus the latest Panasonic image processor - Venus Engine III - provides for high quality image rendering and the camera's high speed response. Like its predecessor, the DMC-L10 utilizes the open format of the Four Thirds system for its lens mount, and includes a Leica D Vario-Elmar 14-50mm f/3.8-5.6 MEGA O.I.S. aspherical lens which supports the camera's Live View feature and is designed specifically for use with a digital SLR camera.
The full-time Live View further gives users more shooting flexibility and greater convenience than a conventional digital SLR camera, providing users with the ability to utilize the 2.5" Free Angle LCD Display as a viewfinder - this is particularly useful when shooting at unusual angles, and lets the user check the outcome image in advance after compensating the exposure or adjusting the white balance. Furthermore, the DMC-L10 incorporates a Face Detection function that detects human faces and sets focus and exposure to capture faces clearly. It also has an Intelligent ISO Control function that detects and meters the movement of the subject and sets a suitable ISO setting and the shutter speed to suppress motion-blur in the picture. Other unique functions of the DMC-L10 include Film Modes where users can select the mode that takes the best advantage of the scene, and users can set the image aspect ratio to 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9.
Even with all of these incredible features, the DMC L10 is very easy to use with intuitive controls and a comfortable yet sturdy body. The Mode Dial on top of the camera provides direct access to frequently used settings including P/A/S/M modes, five frequently-used scene modes (Portrait, Scenery, Macro, Sports and Night Portrait) and one custom mode that you can pre-set for your own preference.
Altogether, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 incorporates a variety of functions that build a bridge for the potential user of digital SLR to take a first step into a world of real creative photography or for existing users who have not been able to take best advantage of their conventional digital SLR cameras to do so now.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 SLR Digital Camera with Leica 14-50mm Lens:
This four thirds camera has a significant advantage over the Olyupus cameras. The Focus assist indicator in the viewfinder still works when you put a Leica R manual focus lens with the Leica four thirds adaptor. Albeit it focuses best when you open the aperture wide open to focus using the focus assist indicator but once focused you set the aperture to the desired setting and the camera to Aperture priority (or Manual) and the camera does the rest. the Focus indicator doesn't always work. In low light it can struggle but in reasonable light, it works. That allows you then to use the whole Leica R lens range on this camera with a reasonable chance of manually focussing the lens accurately.
The LCD assisted focus is also very handy for manual focus lenses. No Olympus camera in the range provides any assistance with manual focus Leica R Lenses (I also own an E 330 and tried a Leica R Lens on an E 3. No focus assist so it is a matter of guess work and how clear you can see through the viewfinder with Olypus cameras).
Image quality side, this camera produces a digital image akin to the Panasonic Compact cameras with similar colour and saturation. Noise though is an issue at low light at all ISO settings if you photgraph dark colours. You have to rely on Silkypix's noise reduction adjustments to remove the noise (if you shoot in RAW mode) but the process is manageable.
I think My E 330 has better colour but that doesn't mean that the L10 takes a bad photo. It can take some spectacular photos in good light and can exceed the image quality of the E330 in good light. The E330 is better in lower light with less noise straight out of the camera. That said, my sucess rate with Leica R lenses is much better and I get fewer out of focus shots.
I think this is the better camera to choose from over the E 420 and E 520. I never placed much stock in image stabilsation always try to use fast lenses and mono pods to steady the camera in low light. Those of view wondering whether this camera is a flop, relax. I think it is not bad at all especially now since it has been discounted from it's original price. It's worth trying. This camera can produce some great shots with Leica R lenses as well as the kit lens that comes with it.

I love the tilt out screen that lets me get thoes low angle shots. The camera getes fantastic, clear, in depth pictures that match the natural colors. I use several cameras, but the DMC-L10 is by far my first choice for all shots.
