It works in conjunction with Direct TV HD DVRs, increasing the recording capabilities to 1000 hours of standard definition, and up to 250 hours of high definition programming.

By incorporating 3 extra silent fans with Magnetic Levitation Technology, this box prevents excessive over heating which is a common problem with HDD system failure and loss of programming.
