Aluratek 15" Hi-Res Digital Picture Frame (Black)
Aluratek aptly describes this 15" Hi-Res Digital Picture Frame as a Digital Lifestyle Device. This frame's features allow it to bridge the gap between a digital camera and a home computer. Both can remain off as the digital frame shows off images. A user can copy images into the frame's 2GB of internal memory from either a digital camera memory card inserted in the frame's multi-card slot, or from a USB cable linked to a PC/Mac/Linux computer. Alternatively, the frame can slideshow images directly from a memory card, and can display photo, video, or audio files.
This frame has a decorative, non-interchangeable ornate wooden black frame that is of good quality and quite stylish. It can be mounted on a flat surface like a desktop or mantle with an included stand, or simply hung on a wall.

i am not a tech person, so i just unpacked it , put in my compact flash and it worked. no hassle, no set up. i am not good on the computer, so stay away from downloading. i just bought an extra compact flash and when i get the cd made of what is on it, i put it in the photo frame and enjoy the latest adventure in a wonderfully large size so i can see all the details.

I use this product in my home. I wanted something that was large enough to be seen across the room and from many angles at once. This digital picture frame fits the bill. It is bright and sharp from most directions. It dims a little when looking down from a high angle but is still bright and clear. The colors are very accurate. I have only had this frame for a few weeks but so far no technical problem. I just inserted a compact flash card I had in an old frame that I did not like and hit slide show on the remote after it started and away it went. I have not tried any of the other features since this is what I purchased the frame for.

The frame itself is nice, the image quality is above good, but the product does not play video. It just infinitely loads, I have tried every video format and used different media devies to load the video, nothing worked

I am attempting to use this product with a Sandisk ExtremeIII 4 GB CF card. In slide show mode, the frame gets hungup every 3-4 pictures for 10-15 seconds. This can't benormal. I popped the CF card into a Pandigital frame and itworked just fine, as designed. So the card is not theproblem. I have emailed Aluratek support twice now and haveyet to receive a reply. The remote control is very, verycheap and out of the box, a couple of pushes on the exitbutton and the thin plastic strip covering is coming undone.I would not recommend this product to anyone.
