Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk Paper for Inkjet has a baryta (barium sulphate) coated layer underneath the ink receiving layer equivalent to the structure of traditional fiber photographic paper base.
The media offers enhanced definition, extended tonal range, and excellent archival properties, all of which are important to the demanding professional digital photographer and printer.

This paper has become my favorite go to paper. It has a good thickness, so feels good in the hand. Like all Baryta papers, you get wonderfully sharp and lucius images. Outstanding for both black & white and color work. I definitely recommend a custom profile. The one from Ilford isn't horrible, but you will have better results if you make your own/have one made.
One downside is it can be fairly easily scratched, but this is true of all Baryta papers. I do sometimes notice that images off the roll can have very light scratches that come from being on the roll itself. I have not noticed this problem when printing on sheets -- for this reason, I generally print images for exhibition on sheets.

This paper is my favorite smooth glossy paper with wonderful printer tonal range. Prints jump with it because of contrast. A warning to those that might see bronzing where blacks seem to be blocked up and perhaps thick. The paper is very sensitive to correct calibration. Use the correct paper setting as my Canon IPF5100 doesn't have the paper settings suggested by Ilford. So it took me some time to try different print paper settings to come up with what works. Once calibrated the printer/ink combination can't be beat.It is my standard smooth glossy paper. It would be nice if it were just a little bit heavier/thicker.

I just started using this paper and I love it; I am using it for all of my exhibit prints now. However, I have found that the surface scratches much more easily than the Epson roll paper I had been using. Using the paper takes some extra effort, but the results are worth it.

Galerie Gold Fibre (with baryta) does a great job with color particularly the yellows.
Caution note: I bought a roll on a friend's advice thinking I'd save money (over buying sheets) by manually cutting off what I needed (my printer doesn't take a roll). Big mistake. The paper curl won't feed smoothly in the printer. Pay the extra and buy sheets if you don't have a roll feed.

Cheaper than Museo Silver Rag and Hahnemuhle Pearl. Love this paper. Sharp as a tack and excellent surface. I use it for portraits, landscapes, and anything I can think of. I love the surface and the feel.
The only thing that I have seen that its bad is that it consistently comes off the roll when it gets closer to the end. not a big deal... just an annoyance.
