I bought this hard drive because I'd seen them take a lot of abuse. I'm looking forward to knowing that my new hard drive will last
Since I am switching from pc to mac, i wasn't excited about splitting the hard drive into halves. However, I plan on buying the same hard drive again in the future, so after the switch, it won't be a problem.

Works great with my PC and my MAC but what moved me to write this review is that after it fell from the top the the bookshelf case and bounced around it still works. Obviously [I hope] you wouldn't buy this just for it's ability to bounce but if you ever get bored, well... get creative ;)

Used primarily as a backup to my laptop,this also works well in the field with my Nikon CCP 2 software for storing photos.
It is a neat and sturdy drive and for 250 GB of storage represents top value.
Just take a look at high capacity USB flash drives and you'll appreciate the cost/storage ratio, and again it's physically neat, will get another one.

This is a great drive. It's small, lightweight and quiet. It's best for use as a backup drive. If you want to handle large files quickly or would like to work off of it, I would suggest buying the model with Firewire 800.

I personally love uniquely designed products, and I needed a external hard drive to store all my music on. This hard drive was perfect. I like that it is rugged, so I don't need to spend more and buy a protective case when I take it with me. There are also other colors of rubber protector I can purchase in case I didn't like orange. I think it looks awesome and it has been completely glitch free.
