In addition, the Pioneer DV-400VS features Dolby Digital and DTS audio surround-sound processing, offering improved fidelity and sonic realism to your DVD movie soundtracks.

Note! This unit requires a multi-system TV to view PAL DVDs in the US.

• High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI): This player features an HDMI output, capable of upconverting video signals to 720p/1080i and 1080p. This technology enables this player to carry high-definition audio and video information through a single cable and achieving the highest quality picture and clearest sound available.

• Progressive Scan: This is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.

• Built-in Multi-Channel Decoders: This player has built-in processors to handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS surround-sound, capable of advanced 24-bit processing and an outstanding sampling frequency of 96KHz.

• DivX Home Theater Certified: DivX is video compression software which enables high quality video to be compressed into very small files then downloaded onto CD-R or CD-RW and played back with very little loss of quality.

• Multi-Format Player: Don't worry about limited playback capabilities, the DV-400V plays DVD Audio/Video, DVD-R/W, DVD+R/W, CD, CD-R/W, DivX, MP3, WMA, JPEG.

• High-Performance Outputs: With playback specifications that meet the standards of professionals, this player features a component video output for high-resolution low-distortion video playback, and a coaxial digital-audio output for high-quality audio playback.
