Comments about Giottos MT-9241 Classic Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I bought this because it is so lightweight and easy to carry when I am backpacking through the woods. Extended all the way up,it is pretty wabbly
but I do not use it that way. Most of the time in the woods,I am sitting and extend the legs about half way or less which is good for me for wildlife pics. It is quick and easy to set up and the legs do not slip.

Comments about Giottos MT-9241 Classic Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I bought this for taking out to parks and out of the way places. For that, it is terrific. It is light and easy to carry, and it folds small enought to put in a suitcase when flying.
It is not a heavy duty studio tripod though. It has decent stability but is not rock solid like some big tripods.
Overall a nice tripod for what it is intended.

Comments about Giottos MT-9241 Classic Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I'm using a tripod more now that I've got one light enough to travel with but sturdy enough to hold my D80 with 70-300MM lens. It sets up in a flash and with the Giotti MH-1302 Pro Series ball head, I'm shooting in no time.

Comments about Giottos MT-9241 Classic Aluminum Tripod Legs:
Good solid performer with good machining and overall workmanship. The bag is an unexpected bonus - durable heavy material provides protection - inner pocket for allen wrenches - and big enough to hold the tripod with the head attached. Good value for the money.

Comments about Giottos MT-9241 Classic Aluminum Tripod Legs:
This is the light-weight tripod I carry along when I hike in the mountains. The carrying strap makes that very easy to do and keeps my equipment accessible. It's also handy to use around the house and garden, or in any situation requiring rapid setup or moving around. The 4-section, 3-position legs are sturdy and stable. You can attach your camera directly to the center post, or add a lightweight head for even more versitility.

Comments about Giottos MT-9241 Classic Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I went into BH to buy the Slik Sprint Pro and walked out with this instead. The Giottos is much sturdier and better built. It fit great in my carry-on once I removed the Manfrotto 484RC2 ball head that I paired with it. I found the tripod to be very sturdy and extremely light weight, very easy to carry around. I used it with a Canon 40D and 28-135mm, 10-22mm, 50mm 1.4 and a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8. All lenses were supported extremely well and the ball head didn't budge. I shoot a lot of low light landscapes, that I shoot from a very low position on the ground. I also use a shutter release. I found that I felt very comfortable using this tripod and it makes a great counterpart to my main tripod, the Manfrotto 055XPROB. All in all a fantastic value and a great tripod. It also includes a carrying case, a shoulder strap and tool kit. My only gripe this that due to my love of shooting low to the ground I needed to purchase the additional short center column. The existing column is too long. The Slik Sprint Pro has a screw off center column that gives you a low option. If the Giottos had that, it would be the perfect travel tripod.
