Three things are particularly satisfying to me about this product: First and foremost, being self-powered, it is reliable! No longer do I discover that my back-up hard drive is not, suddenly, showing up on my desktop. Secondly, finally I have my cake and can eat it too: more easy-to-get at ports without having to move anything, and yet more actual room on my desk. It works well, looks nice, and is very convenient.

Works on a MAC or PC. Adds USB power only when needed. Example: a USB thumb drive didn't work on my wife's iMAC when daisychaining to the keyboard port, but after connecting into this hub, it works just fine.
I have two of these hubs stacked on top of each other, which allows me to stick up to 4 usb items into the top-mounted ports. That's handy!

The best port hubs are the ones that work properly; Belkin has that covered but they also gave theirs a sleek, stylish look. The five ports in the back of this hub are great for connecting various wireless devices while the two on top are convenient for flash drives or network adapters. Having LED's in the front of this unit which lets you know what port is in use adds a nice touch.
