This bean shaped, desktop friendly amp modeler contains 78 guitar amps, 24 cabinets, 98 stompbox effects, 28 bass amps, 22 bass cabs plus 6 vocal preamps to give you the arsenal of a high-end studio. With Dual Tone Processing, the X3 allows you to split your single input through any two amp and effect chains to create hybrids never imagined. The X3 can also process 2 inputs individually such as a guitar or microphone. The USB port allows for connectivity with your computer and the S/PDIF Stereo Digital Audio Output allows for clean signals to be sent to your DAW.

I bought the Pod x3 primarily to record my guitar straight onto the PC. It's been really easy to set up and use, within an hour I was flicking between multiple amps, changing cabinets, modifying stomp boxes and tweaking millions of nobs to find my favourite sound.
I previously only had a marshall amp and a couple of pedals, but this thing has been awesome in providing everything I need in one nice little package.

i've had it for less than a week. the sound is awesome. it has a good enough interface, the documentation is solid. i love the spdif that plugs directly into protools - no conversion required. it's so quiet. i still have to check out the pre-amps and the acoustic sound. it's got me so excited. well done line 6!
