This case is awesome. It has a lock on it. It's a little bit bulky but if you travel a lot it is the best case out there if you want to protect your investment.

Pelican has a great reputation in the military. I can see why, This case comes close to tank.
My Alienware M17 fits perfect, and I am not worried if my computer is safe. With a combo lock built in and provisions for two external locks.
I would recoomend that if you have anything that you want to keep prtected this is your case.

I am very satisfied with the Pelican model 1495 case. The case can protect virtually any size laptop computer without question. The feature to use your own padlocks is very handy because I want extra security. If the case did not provide the feature to use padlocks, then I would purchased another case. The case is sturdy and I love it.

I purchased this case as a secure location for a .45 HandgunI searched at all of the sporting good stores, but none of the cases had internal combination locks. I have several pelican cases for my photo equipment and decided to look into their offerings.I then found the 1495 Case w. Foam. The case is perfect. Rugged so you aren't afraid of external damage/scrapes. 4 DoubleThrow latches to keep the compartment closed securely and most importantly an internal combination lock. For a handgun case it is truly a perfect case. There is plenty of room in this case (originally designed to carry laptops) I have a FNP-45, two magazines and the magazine loader in the case currently. There is enough internal volume left over for another handgun and accessories. The pick-and-pluck foam is very easy to design and manipulate. The high density foam really keeps fragile equipment protected. I actually think pelican should start offering the combination lock option on many of their long thin cases for rifle storage.You will NEVER be disappointed with Pelican cases - and if you are they have a Unconditional Lifetime warranty. Every Pelican case I own..I LOVE Unconditionally. B&H has great prices - this case was only $50 more expensive than the sub-standard cases I found at the sporting good centers. [...]

I bought a 18.4 (screen) sony vio laptop and could not find a hard case that fit. It fits in this case with about 1.5 inch. on each side about 2 in the front and rear. I cant fit anything else in it i.e mouse, charger etc. But those things are cheap to replace so the inportant thing is the laptop is safe for travel.
