Comments about Wolverine 160GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
Surprisingly, the device does exactly what its manufacturer claims it is able to do. This is not an ordinary thing nowadays!
I transferred some 2.3 GB of data within 1/3 of the battery's capacity (as displayed on the devices screen): it seems the claimed 6 GB per one full load of the battery is correct.
If the card has say 8 GB, the data transfer must be done with the power supply connected.
More time has to pass in order to get a realistic impression regarding the reliability.

Comments about Wolverine 160GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
If you need a portable, internal battery operated data storage solution, the Wolverine 7 in 1 Portable Data Storage device is for you. The Wolverine is compatible with all of the popular memory cards: CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SD MuliMedia Card, etc. and does not require USB power from a laptop or desktop PC. I use my Wolverine for traveling. Instead of carrying extra memory cards, I download photos to my Wolverine at the end of each day. The only major shortcoming is not being able to view what is stored in the Wolverine. If you take a lot of photos during your travels and want to leave you laptop at home, I highly recommend this product.

Comments about Wolverine 160GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
Took this device on my trip to Buenos Aires. It worked fantastic. I kept it in my room and nightly uploaded the pics from the day.
The device also comes with AC power cord so if you are worried about doing a file huge dump and having the battery go half way through, you are safe.
Copies even larger RAW or video files quickly.

Comments about Wolverine 160GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
The FlashPac 7000 by Wolverine was a lifesaver. I am not able to buy additional memory cards for my old digital camera. I had a long trip planned and I didn't want to buy a new camera at this time. I wanted a portable storage device that would handle my old camera and any new camera I may purchase. This unit provided exactly what I wanted and it worked well.

Comments about Wolverine 160GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
I used this product at a wedding and on a vacation recently. With it I was able to collect 200 additional candid shots by copying memory cards of all sorts. It even copies full size CF cards. This is an awesome product that I don't know how I got by without it in the past.
Some minor considerations:
I found a newer Sony MagicStick that fit in the slot - but if inserted it cannot be removed because it is too short.
There is no way to see which cards have already been copied to the unit nor can files be deleted without a computer. Inserting the same card will make a 2nd copy into a new folder (SD1, SD2, ...). Good reason to get 160GB.
This is a perfect general purpose backup drive, but at 5400RPM it is little slow for video storage.

Comments about Wolverine 160GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
On a recent trip to Alaska I used the Wolverine to back up digital images from two different cameras, one shooting JPEGs and the other shooting RAW. Each download went into a separate folder so I could shoot both cameras with raw or jpeg without worry about conflicting file numbers. I only used two cards for the entire two weeks. I kept the images on the Wolverine until all images were safely processed, stored and backed up.
However, remember to clear your cards each time after downloading.
