The EF-D Focusing Screen is a great upgrade from the original EF-A screen, especially considering the price. Search EF-D Focusing Screen on youtube for some great tutorials, this made it easier to install, and remember to select the proper focusing screen in your camera's menu. Try to install the screen in a clean and dustless(as much as possible)area, or make sure you have a good blower as to not physically touch the screen. Product greatly improves functionality and helps with composing/lining up your shots.

The grid lines this adds to the viewfinder are quite helpful - I bought this just before a trip to the Grand Canyon and it helped line up photos so I had to do less rotation in post :)

This as been an excellent upgrade to my Canon 50D. It makes composing my pictures so much easier. Every camera should be equipped with this Focusing Screen!

Per page 259 of EOS 60D manual, this Ef-D Focusing Screen also installs in the 60D. It is not labeled as such on the packaging. I installed it on my 60D: love it.

This product is the best product I have purchased for my camera bar none. This screen should be the standard screen in the camera. The grid makes it so easy, effortless really, to focus and keep the camera level with the horizon. I really don't have any complaints save one, that I didn't buy it as soon as I got my camera.

My stock focusing screen was scratched so I decided to replace it by this one... I definitely don't regret it and think that it should be the standard focusing screen for all the Canon cameras.

It helps a lots for the 1/3-2/3 rule and now you'll have straight horizon on all your photos.

I use this type of focusin screen in both my 40D and EOD 5D Mark II. It's just nice having the grid pattern especially when you're shooting artists on stage.

This is an excellent addition for those who like to create artistic photographs. The grid aides in composition and rule of thirds. Would recommend this to all artists using 50d

I bought this for the 60D, which has the electronic level in the viewfider and LCD, but this is a great addition when you don't want to fiddle with the displays to get the level. In addition, for architectural photos, it's good to help you minimize keystoning, so in a sense, it helps with the front to back leveling, which the electronic level on the 60D doesn't. Another advantage is for gaging overlap for panoramas (wish Canon kept their panorama mode). And lastly, a great help for lining up objects for rule of thirds shooting.

The focusing screen was really easy to install (there's even a video tutorial on the the Canon DLC site). In addition to the physical installation, theres a menu setup for the EF-D screen, but again,very easy to do.

But, installing it was rather nerve wracking (I'm a senior).

Immediately I could line things up easier. Lines are not obtrusive, yet easy to use. This screen doesn't help focus any better than the original, just helps to get composition straight. Easy to install.

If you're tired of taking pictures that come out just a little bit tilted, this will help. installation is a cinch with the provided tools and instructions. The grid lines are faint enough that you can easily ignore them when not needed. All in all, a very nice accessory for the Canon xxD series (including the 60D).

I have never opened up my camera before, but the 3-step instructions with pictures made it super easy. Time to read instructions thoroughly and change out the screen took under 5 min.

I like the grid, but I'm used to working with my point-and-shoot's 1/3 gridlines. This is dvides into halves and fourths. Still very helpful.

The Nikon D90's grid lights up at night along with the AF points, this grid does not light up so it's very hard to see against dark objects or in low light.

This simple replacement focusing screen took 5 minutes to install and works as advertised. The guidelines are easy to see, but not to dark to take away from the composition. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and easy way to check the alignment of your composition. It really should come standard.

Since this has the grid on it i find myself taking straighter pictures and composing shots a little better. I don't notice the lines unless i am using them,so i am not distracted from what i am shooting. This really should be the default screen for the camera, but it is business after all and Canon needs to make money.
