Thank goodness I was able to replace the focusing screen its totally clear and I have no scratches on it. My old focusing screen was driving me crazy because of that scratch, so I am glad it was consumer replaceable and a great price like always from B & H.

Being in a dusty climate, I have learned to always have an extra focusing screen on hand. I also made the mistake of attempting to clean the dirty focusing screen (not easily possible!). I just feel better having an extra to replace so I dont have to worry about cleaning and further damaging the old focus screen.
