I'm still getting used to taking pictures, had it about 2 weeks. Zoom is pretty good, cant zoom in all the way, gets to blurry. Takes good pictures, the sport shot is cool, you can take multiple pictures in series. Overall not a bad camera, I was going to go with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35K but I decided on this one for the Value. I'm not saying its better just went for a little bit cheaper price range. So far I'm satisfied.

I am based in the north of england and baught this product whilst on holiday in New york. This product is great for me as it covers me for any damage which occurs in the UK as i do not permanently reside in NYC. Having this cover in place and knowing that i can get my Camera fixed even though i live in the UK is great because it will save me a lot of money.

I purchased a Sony HX5V P & S.............What a great camera. Since I am going to use this camera primarily sailing, I feel it would be a good back-up to have a solid warranty and insurance behind this.
Hopefully I will not have to utilize the warranty!

the lens i bought is a good lens but still has plastic pieces that can and i expect may break. the warranty protects the lens from any unfortunate accidents and with 2 kids around i feel very comfortable whipping out the camera and shooting.
