Bought the SAGEMAX protection for my Samsung TL500 camera. [...] it's a very good idea to have it, as I carry my camera (expensive one) everywhere and use it a lot. As I did not use their warranty until now, really can't say how is the efficiency of the service.

I bought a sony camera and the Sagemax Insurance one year ago unfortunelly my camera just stopped working
So i decided to contact the Surgemax company to request a help to fix my camera..I can tell you that it took me a really hard work to reach them from Brazil (was unable to register from the site...also the phone for International Customers does not work...)
well finally a Warrant Check was sent to my home (Sao Paulo Brazil) BUT the check is from Wachovia Bank...So What I am going to do with this American check here in Brazil??? I wish I had another Sony camera back...

When I purchased my camera, I specifically mentioned that I teach 4-year-olds and that the camera is for use in my classroom. I was assured that this protection plan covers ANYthing and EVERYthing that might happen to the camera while using it at school. If this does indeed prove to be true, then it is worth its weight in gold.
I have not had particularly satisfying experiences with extended warranties in the past, but I was assured by B&H that this Protection Plan is entirely different from an extended warranty. I hope I never have to use it but, if I do, I am keeping my fingers crossed that B&H will stand up to its reputation of integrity.
