I use the camera for quick shots of anything I see. The camera's versatility, ease of use and speed of handling are easily worth the money..
I am a Nikon fanatic, and have been for decades, but I can see why Canon has their own fanatics. It is exceptionally easy to use, and would be a great step up from a pocket camera for the casual photographer and should be considered as a good second go anywhere camera for someone who already has a serious dslr, but wasn't ready to pony up the money for a long lens yet (which is why I bought it)
I spent several days taking pictures and looking at them hard, trying to find reasons why the camera wasn't as good as my Nikon and found it difficult.

I have not had to use this service, so I cannot speak to its usefulness. However, when I placed the order, I was told that a 3-year protection plan was part of the package that I purchased. I was very disappointed to discover that the protection plan was only a 2-year plan.

For high end products that you use alot, put through the ringer and is susceptible for damage. Nothing beats the accidental damage coverage. I've had quick turn arounds and slow turnarounds, but all in all it has saved me thousands in repairs. never any questions ask how it broke. they just fix it.

I dropped my Powershot in a puddle and fired it. I had the Sagemax Plan and I was reimbursed for the cost of the camera quickly and easily. No questions asked. I am really glad I had it and purchased one for my new replacement Powershot S95.

I just started my blog and it requires good images, and I have NO technical skills whatsoever when it comes to cameras or electronics. I cannot imagine a a better camera that gives professional, super quality images and is so easy is to use, setting the correct time on my VCR back in the 1980s took more time. Thank you!

I realize that most extended warranties are not a good value. However, this B&H high quality, broad coverage warranty is a must for outdoor and all weather and underwater P&S cameras such as this was intended. In fact, I returned this and purchased the 3 year identical warranty.

If you are a European customer, you have to buy this. WIthout that, you have a warranty for one year but only on the USA and Canadian market. It means that, in this situation, you have to send back to America your camera in case of problems.
With this extra warranty, you have a warranty of two years all over the world and you don't have to send back this camera (or at least, it's not your problem, you can give it to retailer in your country).
But I haven't used it so I can't explain if it works well or not.
