I'm glad I purchased the protection plan on such an expensive purchase. I am a little less worried about something happening to my equipment and can concentrate more on taking pictures.

You never know what might happen.
I am a filmmaker and I ask a lot of my equipment. Things go out of date within a few years, but during the time that I am using a certain piece of equipment it is important that I can protect that asset.
This plan covers a lot and here is what was most important to me.
Manufacturer imperfections
Normal Wear and Tear
Failure caused by heat, dust, and humidity
They will either try to fix your product (in my case the canon 7D)
or they will send you a check for the full purchase price plus the tax.
can't go wrong with that. The plan starts as soon as you get your camera, so there is no registration process that you might forget to activate.

The 3 year SAGEMAX protection plan is well worth the cost. For the kind of money I spent on my camera, knowing that I can accidentally drop it off of a cliff, collect the pieces, and send it in for repair or replacement brings me a smile and encourages me to use the camera whenever I want.

i didnt get a protection plan on my last camera and regretted it when i began having focusing problems. it would cost just about as much to send it back and have it looked at as if i would have purchased a protection plan. i have had protection plans in the past and have had no problem with returns to have the camera looked at.

This plan is great to have because I really USE my camera and sometimes it gets banged up a bit. I don't have to worry about anything because I know that if something were to happen, I'm protected. I don't ever want to have to use it, but I have ease of mind if I do.

This is a great warranty because it covers everything, including accidental dropping of the camera! Hopefully will never have to use it but a bargain for what you get!

I called SageMax just to be sure I understood the terms correctly. I was told that even if my camera got ran over by a car or dropped into the ocean, it would be covered under this extended warranty. That's amazing to me and well worth the price for added piece of mind.
