The three year is just a few dollars more and I think worth it to be insured for another year. I ordered on the phone and they just told me about the two year. I read about the three year and then changed to that plan.

I'm giving this a high rating because from the description of the protection coverage it seems reasonable for what it is. However,only after a real request for repair or service will I be able to accurately comment and review my experience of the plan. I'm really hoping I don't need to. We will see.

I have just started using this camcorder; however, I am already impressed with it's capabilities. When you have the camera set to 60fps 1080p you will be blown away at the quality. I also was impressed by the lighting test I conducted with this camera. The image quality is extremely GREAT! The manual controls are to be desired...but they are there. If you have hopes of becoming a film maker and you don't have a lot of money allow this camera to open the door.

There are two major downfalls:

First: 60 fps is very hard to edit due to I have not found editing software that can import the raw footage. I have been using (ANY VIDEO CONVERTER) to convert the footage to 30fps. The camera does already have 30fps; however, I wanted the footage to be as smooth as possible.

Second: The camcorder doesn't have OIS...that being said take the money that you save and purchase a mini steady cam. They're much lighter than steady cams for cameras such as Sony PD150, Canon XL2, or Sony VX2100. With larger cameras on steady cam it would make my arms tired and now it is a breeze.

Bottom line: I am willing to use this camera to make short films and low budget features that don't require too much camera motion. I would use this on my documentaries and even on the "making of" for a film. I have produced/directed several small budget films with awesome crews and I know that with the small size of this camera people may give you flack about looking amateur...once the film is cast out onto the screen I think you will be the one having the last laugh.

For those who say well you don't have any way to plug in a mic or headphones...you are correct; however, take that couple of hundred that you are saving and purchase a semi professional grade sound recorder, which will work better an on camera accessories, and get a boom mic. Sound is where a lot of people fall short when thinking about films.

I'm from France and I went to NYC and to B&H to buy a GoPro helmet cam...
I use it for downhill mountainbike... I'm a human being as you guys, so sometimes i make mistakes and the ground comes close to my face!!!
That's why it was just normal to take this 2-year international warranty...
I haven't needed the warranty yet, but I'm sure this one will be useful one day... One never knows!!!
