The Brother MFC-9440CN Color Laser All-in-One is a network-ready color laser Multi-Function Center that offers a space-saving solution for busy offices and small connected workgroups that need a versatile all-in-one for fast color print and copy speeds, high-resolution color scanning, and high-performance faxing.
With it, you'll be able to produce vibrant, rich color documents and copies in-house without having to outsource printing them. Get breathtaking color and razor-sharp monochrome output, with fast print and copy speeds, flatbed copying and scanning, and a 35-page auto-document feeder for multi-page documents; and of course, it provides the exceptional faxing features you'd expect from Brother, a world leader in fax solutions.
Its built-in USB Direct interface enables you to print PDF and JPEG files from - or scan files to - a USB flash memory drive, without being connected to a computer, and the USB interface also facilitates printing directly from PictBridge-enabled cameras. Furthermore, the MFC-9440CN gives you the flexibility to connect either locally, or to your network, via its built-in Ethernet network and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interfaces.

- USB Direct Interface
- Conveniently print PDF or JPEG files from or scan PDF or JPEG files to a USB flash memory drive, or print directly from a PictBridge compatible digital camera using the easily accessible Direct USB Interface.
- Expandable Paper Capacity
- The MFC-9440CN includes a 250-sheet paper tray that holds letter or legal paper and includes a 50 Sheets multi-purpose tray that can also handle envelopes and other paper sizes for a total capacity of 300 sheets (plain paper). Plus you also have the option of increasing your total paper capacity up to 800 sheets by adding an optional 500-sheet paper tray.
- High-speed Faxing
- With its high-speed 33.6K bps fax modem, you can send and receive faxes quickly in either B&W or Color. The unit also supports fax broadcasting and has sufficient memory to store up to 500 fax pages if it happens to run out of paper.
- High Quality Color Scanning
- Available from either the letter size document glass or through its 35-page automatic document feeder, you can scan documents, images and more with a high scan resolution of 2400x 600 dpi and a color depth of up to 48-bits.
- High Capacity Toner Cartridges
- Lower your cost per page and copy, with optional high capacity toner cartridges and also minimize maintenance time since you won't have to replace toner cartridges as often.

Well packed and protected. Set up was easy enough. Set up as network printer/scanner easy. Haven't had it long enough to give it 5 stars but we're very happy with the color copying. Not superfast copying like a stand along copy machine but definitely faster than some of the smaller copier printers. Very, very close to the original colors copied. Will probalby get another one for a different location soon.

This printer works well and was easy to set up on the network for our Macs but required entering the IP address manually for the Windows machines. I would prefer a bit more saturation in the colors but it is still beautiful.
