- No Lemon Policy
- If your product requires a fourth qualified repair for the same defect, NEW will replace it with a like model at no additional cost to you - or your original purchase price is refunded (including tax).
- In-House Repair Service
- If the original manufacturer warranty covers in-house repair service, NEW will honor the in-house service for the duration of this protection plan.

I haven't had to use this yet (fortunately), but I think it's always good to have a safety net, I think it's a little pricey, but definitely worth buying, makes you feel safe and it is preferable to buying a whole new lens if something happens.
I would say it is optional for an everyday product but a must with a high-end product.

dont even think about buy a product without insurance. Why not pay a little now instead of buying the same product again if it breaks. I recommend this with every product, and defently with lenses.

I STRONGLY Recommend purchasing the extended warranty. Nikon offers a 5 year warranty on their lens, HOWEVER, I resently shipped a lens back only to have Nikon not repair it under warranty. Lens are too expensive to buy twice. Do your self a favor and buy the extended warranty.
