Does the job
Using your flash off camera? This is a reliable, reasonably priced cord that will connect the two piecess of equipment. It seems very well made, and on par with manufacturer's original equipment.

I use a stroboframe for my sb-800 so I need the off camera cord. The thing that attracted me to it was the short cord length (coiled 3 foot) aposed to the SC-29 cord that is 9 foot coiled.
The only problem I ran into is that the hotshoe has no spring retainer, so even when you tighten the flash unit as far as you can it still has a little play in it, I noticed that when I move the flash fires because the pins loose contact. I took a pair of pliers and bent the lip of the hotshoe and it seems to hold it down better.

Comments about Dot Line Off-Camera i-TTL Shoe Cord for Nikon Cameras:
This shoe cord came with a flip bracket/SB600 flash combo that I bought. While the cord worked for the SB600, it didn't work with my SB800. The SB800 never seated properly and would flop around, causing it to fire erratically. I have since replaced this cord with a Nikon shoe cord.

I got this with a flash kit that also came with a bracket. No complaints so far - works fine and it's the perfect length for using with the bracket.
Comments about Dot Line Off-Camera i-TTL Shoe Cord for Nikon Cameras:
Good length cord for flash bracket work but the hot shoe will not hold the flash tight enough. Erratic flash firing and some missed flash firing as flash is not on pins tight enough.

Very easy to use, a great way to get the flash off the camera and move it around for different angles and lighting. Great alternantive to making your flash a slave. Fast and easy.

I use this for varied lighting angles, sometimes to avoid "Red Eye" for people and small animals.
The only thing I find wrong is that hte cord is too short!

THIS PRODUCT WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE PACKAGE AND PLACED ON THE FLASH AND CAMERA. IT WAS DEFECTIVE, IT JUST MADE THE FLASH CONTINUE TO FLASH. I HAD TO PURCHASE A NIKON CORD TO WORK CORRECTLY BE CAREFUL USING AFTER MARKET PRODUCTS WITH D 50 NIKONS

So far this cord has been great. Stretches easily on my bracket and doesn't tangle. What more can you want from a cord?

This allows me to get the light even closer to the subject and gives me the ability to choose where the lighting will be firing. Its also very durable and all together a great add on for your flash.

Comments about Dot Line Off-Camera i-TTL Shoe Cord for Nikon Cameras:
This chord works if you are holding the flash in your other hand, as that is the only way to hold it securely enough to be able to ignore the fact that the flash itself is not secured well enough by the cord's dock. Waste of money if you ask me. When used with the bracket the flash wobbles slightly, causing it to flash of it's own accord due to the slack connections to the cord.

Comments about Dot Line Off-Camera i-TTL Shoe Cord for Nikon Cameras:
I regretted this purchase from the first because the flash never attached snugly. After about a year of light use the outer cover of the cord pulled out of the flash mount and apparently disconnected some of the wiring so it no longer works. I am glad to get a chance to buy a better one, but sad to have spent the money on this item.

Comments about Dot Line Off-Camera i-TTL Shoe Cord for Nikon Cameras:
The hotshoe connector that the flash goes in was loose and it would cause irratic firing. I crimped it closed a bit with some pliars but after that, TTL stopped working all together. I highly recommend staying away.

Comments about Dot Line Off-Camera i-TTL Shoe Cord for Nikon Cameras:
After less than a year of very light use, the foot on flash-side shoe became slightly loose and the cord does not consistently fire the flash (must squeeze the flash to the shoe in order to make it work). Worse yet, Dot Line ignored my e-mail for a warranty inquiry. Don't waste your money, spend the extra for a much higher quality SC-28.
