DVD was ok. Speaker goes very fast, but you can re-wind. Covers just about everyting. Good introduction if you are not familiar with the d3. Good alternative, but not a complete substitute for the manual. If you just got the d3, or need to get up to speed quickly, this is a good reference. The other alternative is to sit down and read the manual. The good thing about this is that you can get through the whole 2 dvd set in 2 hours, with lots of examples etc, vs reading the manual for the first time. It makes the manual easier to read/understand if you go through this DVD.

If you're going blind reading Nikon's 445 page Owner's Manual for the D3 here's your solution. This is a two DVD set covering: set-up of the D3, shooting modes (buttons, controls and menus), playback mode, and custom settings menu.
The video is well done, clear and easy to understand.
Most importantly - at the present time - if you want to see how the Nikon D3 works (via video instruction) this is the only game in town.
It sure beats reading that tiny print in the manual!
