The service contract for equipment is a must have. The first time I purchased a service contract on an expensive piece of equipment, I debated on whether I should or not. It turned out to be a very wise decision in spite of the cost. The service contract paid for itself, after an accident when my XLH1 fell into the creek. The service contract paid for the replacement of my camera. Now, I never cringe when purchasing the service agreement on an expensive piece of equipment. It is a necessary item. It is there for those unplanned events.
