Obviously, so is Samsung, at least with this model. This is my second one. I purchased my other 245T a year ago and have been very satisfied. My first one had to be replaced due to the buzzing noise that others have complained about. Samsung exchanged it without issue. Other than that, flawless. I have both hooked up to one general purpose computer, one in portrait and the other in landscape orientation.

I have been please with the color range and viewing angle of this monitor. The quality is a good value for the price. I would recommend this monitor to those individuals who do not require the full spectrum of Adobe RGB which would cost hundreds of dollars more for a little over 10% increased spectrum.

I purchased this flat panel to replace my LaCie CRT; I didn't really need any frills, just a solid performing monitor for photo editing...I'm astounded with the S-PVA image quality and extra work space. Setup was straightforward and color calibration smooth with my EyeOne. All of the physical adjustment features seem well made and operate well. My only complaint is that the included DVI cable needs to be 1-2 feet longer, I can't understand why they would include something so short particularly with a rotating monitor...I had to immediately purchase a longer cable.

I use the monitor to edit photographs. Being a recent college graduate, I cannot afford any of the big name monitors so a professor of mine recommended this monitor to me. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the colors are pretty accurate and the resolution is great.

The images look sharp and color balancing is not too hard if you calibrate the monitor. The calibration result proves that the monitor could almost achieve a perfect color accuracy (really, it is very close).

I am very satisfied with this monitor.

I'm a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, and I'm on the computer no less than 8-10 hours a day. This monitor is exactly what I needed - the price is at least twice as much as a consumer grade monitor, but this is well worth the cost, in my opinion. I've never been happier with a monitor - it's super bright, clearer than anything I've ever used, and the color depth and contrast is incredible. I'm very happy with the purchase.

The 245T I received had a problem with the brightness level decreasing from left to right (especially in the left quarter of the screen) with a lot of backlight leakage around those edges. It was impossible to adjust the brightness/contrast to give an overall satisfactory image. Not counting the brightness problem, the monitor had an excellent sharp image and decent colors with wide viewing angles.The 245T comes with the height/tilt-adjustable base pre-attached. There are a huge number of image color adjustments available from the front panel controls as well as from the latest MagicColor software which needs to be downloaded from Samsung's website.This was the first monitor that I have used that didn't have (or need!) a sharpness adjustment (at least using the DVI input). There was absolutely no buzz from inside as others have reported in their earlier production 245T displays.Samsung tech support said I probably had a defective 245T and I could get it repaired, get an exchange, [...]

professional photographer using the monitor for retouching and graphic design/layout...

put on your sunglasses, this thing likes to be bright.... as an lcd monitor viewing images in a variety of color spaces.. I see no major issues.. I have not edited video here yet.. but anticipate zero issues... generates a little heat at 'correct' working setting but not a real issue.
Excellent adjustment with the stand.. easy to setup.. reasonable cost what is there not to like... note: although the unit was 'calibrated' I have not yet used it to output to my epson79/9900 printers.

[...]Right out of the box it works great although I will tweak when I get time. Takes a bit getting used to from my excellent previous Pro CRTs. I think you still have to spend a lot more for a non-CRT to equal the CRT quality of photo images. It is much sharper for text though.Watch Out: it has a 100x200mm RECESSED mount so if you want to use an Ergotron mount for your desk it won't fit the standard 100x100mmmount on the Ergotron. The ergotron adapter, at addl cost, will not fit- well, not without you modifying it somehow. If it had a flat mount on the back then various adapters would have no problem fitting. That is the only problem I have encountered. The stand that comes with the 245t is great but it will not allow the monitor to be lowered to where the bottom of the moniter touches your desk. I wear bifoculs and like to have my monitors as low as possible. It will only go to 3.75 inches above the stand surface(your desk).

One of the best 24" S-PVA technology LCD monitor. [...]My monitor arrived from B&H without any dead pixels and no humming sound(s). Samsung's bundled software and driver are adequate but the "MagicRotation" is not compatible with my Microsoft Window Visa Ultimate 64-bit PC... needs an update at Samsung's website. I purchased this monitor in October 2008; it is still absolutely beautiful! Thank you B&H.

I've shot and viewed 30,000 images so accurate color reproduction is tantamount to me and this monitor does a very good job in that department

The 245T is bright with sharp contrast that really helps my aging eyes.

The colors seem to be very accurate and easily adjusted. I am a heavy Photoshop user and this is important to me.

The reviews I read rated the 245T very high and I have been very satisfied.

I am giving this monitor one star short of perfect because of the quality control issues I've faced. First, I have to say this is a fantastic display. I use it for photo editing, as well as gaming and business purposes. It does everything exceptionally well. Fast refresh, brilliant, realistic color, razor sharp text. However, the first one I bought had two dead USB ports. I exchanged it for a new one that had a dead DVI port. Now I'm waiting for the third one. Thankfully I ordered from B&H because they have been great delivering and exchanging rapidly and friendly and free.

I created a profile using the Monaco hardware and software configuration. The colors are still a little bit off, but my ColorMunki comes in this week. Hopefully I can get it all worked out!

Other than that, the monitor looks great when paired up with my Apple MacBook Pro. I wish that the software worked to turn the monitor and have it auto rotate on the screen.

I use this for photos, video and everyday business uses. The clarity is better than a Mac monitor and its equivalent to the Dell monitor. I had both side by side before I chose this one. The Dell is great out-of-the-box but I had a problem with a part of the screen being magenta so I sent it back and kept the Samsung. However, it had its own problems. Its taken me several weeks to get a good calibration. Had to adjust a little at a time until it was good. It also doesn't have as many controls when you hook it up to a Mac as compared to if you hook it up to a PC, so its a little on the sharp side and there's nothing you can do about it. If the Dell would of not had that one problem I would of kept it because you could adjust the sharpness and it was well calibrated out-of-the-box.

I love this monitor. I mainly use this for Photoshop, Photoshop Lightroom and Quark. The colors are rich and sharp and the on-screen menu is easy to use. The additional inputs, HDMI, Component, etc. are very handy with the PIP so I can watch a little TV while I work. B&H knows how to package things. This was inside another carton with additional padding. So much better then some vendors who just slap a label on the original carton and let it fly. The price from B&H was the best I could find [...] I am very happy with this in every area.

I use the 245T for editing Photographs and general web surfing. The unit has great color and contrast. I also like the front panel controls better than most LCD's. Easy to use and logical.

First of all B&H packaged this properly - inside another carton and it had more than sufficient padding. They didn't just slap a label on it and let it fly - they did it right. I do video editing in Sony Vegas and this monitor is outstanding. I can also watch satellite tv in the PIP box. No dead pixels and a great picture. The price is right [...] I could not be more pleased with this monitor.
