Comments about Manfrotto Super High Camera Stand - 24' (7.3m):

Reasonable weight and good build quality. Leveling legs work well.

My biggest wish would be that the lower stand segments would have been taller to allow greater stablity at full extention.

Comments about Manfrotto Super High Camera Stand - 24' (7.3m):

This product is exactly what I needed for my urban grunge work in alleys, warehouses, over fences etc. It provides a birds-eye view in scenes you would never expect find them in. Once you get above the 8' or 9' level it's vital that you use the 3 stabilization ropes. Even a slight wind can get the camera moving. This is not important if you're shooting fast shutter speeds, but if you're shooting multiple exposures for HDR work, or in low light situations and like myself you're anywhere between 15' or higher, it's imperative. You'll need a remote trigger or long cable release to fire the shutter, however. All in all, it's a fabulous product for money. Commercial versions can cost 2-3 times the cash.

Comments about Manfrotto Super High Camera Stand - 24' (7.3m):

I was contemplating buying one of these for about a year and finally did for a project where I needed to get higher to get the shot. It is very high quality as you would expect from Monfrotto. It comes with rope tie downs that are not really described in the B&H description. I mounted a large body dslr on it and felt comfortable in doing so. Pretty stable with the tie down kit. Great setup for doing some low level aerial photos. It isn't light (but you don't want it to be). It is a great product. If you are thinking about getting one, you won't be disappointed.

Comments about Manfrotto Super High Camera Stand - 24' (7.3m):

Just arrived today. It's Bogen Manfrotto, so you know it's good. Yes it is---very well designed-- looks very professional. Will get my camera up 24 feet, which is tall as my 2-story house. Sure, I can buy something to get me up 50 ft. or more, but who wants to shell out 20 times as much? My guess is I will want to use a lower height anyway for architectural work---who really wants to see the roof of a building anyway? This will be wonderful indoors! There is minor cushioning built into each section of the column---nice. Each leg has a hole for a ground stake---nice. My package came with the 3 guy wire set--very nice. I imagine I will use guy ropes all the time, even indoors (use sand bags or similar weights)as any aerial mast will vibrate from air and ground movements, even in no-wind situation. [...]
