Using both the monitor calibrator (3Elite) and printer calibrator (3Print), prints are 99% dead on from monitor to output. I use this with a Dell 3007WXP 30" monitor (Dell Quad core with nVIDIA 9800card) and Canon PIXMA9500 printer. The prints show good color range and tonality. No color casts or tinting issues that I have discovered yet.
Several new features are nice in this version. The monitor calibrator has an ambient light sensor which helps tone down the overbright display if needed. The print calibrator is much improved from the previous version. I can now easily calibrate from monitor - print for EACH TYPE of paper I use in a matter of 10 minutes. It is much simpler to set up ICC profiles for each paper type (matte, glossy, semi-glossy - I use Ilford paper) and access them in Photoshop or Lightroom.
The instructions are still written for a semi-experienced computer savy user and could stand some more improvement. However, the whole package is a big step up from the Spyder2 Suite.

After lots of E-mails back and forth, no one wants to talk to you. I finally arived at my prints looking like my monitor. No hard copy of any manual. I would recommend the software if you are an expert in color management. If not you are almost on your own.

Both products works great! I was able to calibrate my printer to all the papers from different vendors with fabulous results. The monitor calibration is a step forward from version 2. Everything comes is a very nice case which is a plus for me.

My goal in getting this product was to be able to print pictures reliably without having to waste a lot of paper and ink. I've yet to achieve that with this product.
First off, the monitor calibration worked simply and with good results. I have no complaint with that portion of the product, and in fact am quite happy. But that's only half the goal.
Next I moved on to printer calibration. I do the quick profile. It works well with the first picture I print, but quickly falls flat as I mix up the picture types. Then I try the full calibration. The prints are too dark and have a strong magenta cast. On to the expert calibration. Now everything has a strong green cast. 2 days and many pages of paper and corresponding ink later, I'm back to adjusting for each print.
I've tried printing in lightroom, photoshop, from preview. I've tried letting the application manage the matching, as well as letting the printer match it. I've gone through every permutation and combination I can think of. Bottom line is it's not doing the job.
