I went ahead a bought this just in case something happened to my mP3 player as I am very rough on things like that. It was difficult for me to understand how to set it up. I had to call to get the actual website because the website given didn't really provide me with any information. They said you didn't have to pre-register your device, but I wasn't so sure I felt comfortable about that. I wanted to make sure my device was registered so in the event something happened, I wouldn't have any trouble. I haven't used it yet, and it was only a few dollars. However, the hassle I went through trying to get things set up was a little more trouble than it was worth. I don't know...I'm have this feeling that they wouldn't do much if my device got broken, but that's just my opinion.

one side of the speaker is broken, and by having the replacement plan, i was able to get full price + tax back and bought a new earbuds again!

This 2-year warranty basically ensures that no matter what happened to your item, no matter how it happened, you will get a full refund. What's great about this warranty is that any number of things could happen to anyone, regarding any item and the people at B&H really understand that. I honestly do not have any negative comments about this plan.

Service plans are well worth it for items that will be used tough hard and on a regular basis. most people don't understand it gets you a new device when yours break down from normal wear and tear. If you don't use it a lot then why buy it. I have always picked up the service plan if not just for safety then for piece of mind.
