Xenonics Holdings develops and produces advanced, lightweight and compact ultra-high intensity illumination and low-light vision products for military, law enforcement, public safety, and commercial private sector applications.
The SuperVision 100 digital night vision monocular employs a cutting-edge CCD based digital viewing system (DVS). This paradigm shift in night vision technology utilizes an extremely sensitive and sophisticated CCD sensor to capture moonlight and digitally process the information into a well-detailed image on a high-resolution display.
The exceptional versatility of this state-of-the-art viewing device designates it to be a primary choice for law-enforcement, search and rescue, tactical/military, hunting, scouting, marine safety, and home-security operations.
The SuperVision has an ergonomically styled housing, so it's very comfortable in your hand. Most importantly, its imaging capabilities compares favorably with commercial 2nd & 3rd generation NVDs. Your view is detailed and crisp, and the 8x digital zoom brings distant objects in for a clear view easily.

Comments about Xenonics SuperVision 100 Digital Night Vision Monocular:
OK, if there is ambient light in the atmosphere from some man made sourec this works great. It also works great in very low natural light.
In total darkness or by star light alone this tool will not work at all. UNLESS you also buy the IR illuminator and mount to go with it.
I have the whole set up and I use this with the IR illuminator and I watch deer all night long in any light. At the high magnification it gets to grainey to see antlers. But at lower magnification it is very clear and big antlers light up reflecting the IR light. For money, you can't beat this thing. But only with the IR illuminator.

I have been using this for checking livestock on open range, and for finding and shooting coyotes.
It does everything I need it to do and more. The only flaw is a 8x it is a bit grainy but otherwise I love it

Comments about Xenonics SuperVision 100 Digital Night Vision Monocular:
I live in central Florida and my house backs up to a swamp. All kinds of animals (deer, snakes, gators, raccoon, etc.) traverse my back yard. The SuperVision is an excellent tool for watching these critters at night instead of shining a flashlight, which would scare the animal back into the swamp. The detail is incredible.

Comments about Xenonics SuperVision 100 Digital Night Vision Monocular:
This product IN NO WAY is useful in extreme dark environments. The frame rate is terrible and there is no way to track a moving subject in dark areas with the frame rate skipping along trying to play catchup. This is NOT a real NV device and cannot compete with a Gen 2 systems let alone with the slick advertising against a Gen 3 system. Stay away from this except for recreation fire side chats. This is no serious tool for LE or mil work!

Comments about Xenonics SuperVision 100 Digital Night Vision Monocular:
Saw the DVD and was impressed. Got the product and not real happy. My guess is the video camera it's hooked to in the DVD had some sort of night enhancement as well. We can't see past 100 yards and we can't track fast-moving targets because system stops and starts. That's a safety hazard in our world....15 years, MAJ, USAF STS. I'm sure they've heard this all before and will fix.

Comments about Xenonics SuperVision 100 Digital Night Vision Monocular:
As a reservist, the batallion I commanded was deployed to Iraq August 2006. The night vision product that was deployed for our use was the PVS-14 which is a generation 3 product. Supposed to be superior, and it was to the previous product we had been training with. While deployed in Iraq, my brother emailed me telling me about this Xenonics SuperVision product that he had used on a guided hunt in Alaska. I sent him some money and he bought me one directly from Xenonics, and sent it over to me. After I got it, I let some of the other patrols besides the ones I was in charge of use it, and within a day or two there were fights over who was going to get to go in the patrol group that was permitted to use my personal SuperVision NVD. We have just rotated home, and I conferred it upon the commander of the group replacing mine, and just received an email raving about this product. I will be purchasing the personal replacement within a week or two. That's why I'm here tonight... SHOPPING!
