Comments about Epson PowerLite V11H289020 LCD Home Theater Wide-screen Projector:
The colors are outstanding!Viewing blu-ray dvd disks is a must, you will be amazed for only a 720p projector.I cannot watch anything else now,not even my tiny screen 47 inch 120 hz lcd tv.Don't waste your money on a 47-60 inch box looking tv,you don't feel that you are in a movie theater, watching the blu-ray movies on a 92 inch projection screen with a surround sound system is breathtaking.

Comments about Epson PowerLite V11H289020 LCD Home Theater Wide-screen Projector:
This projector has great blacks, a beautiful picture and tons of controls to get the image exactly where you want it. In Theater Black mode you can't even hear the fan but if the room is bright or lit just throw it in dynamic mode and enjoy. At 12' I have a 112" screen.

Comments about Epson PowerLite V11H289020 LCD Home Theater Wide-screen Projector:
I've had the projector for about month and love it. Very bright picture, only thing I've not liked, it's a little complexed in changing colors and skin tones.

Comments about Epson PowerLite V11H289020 LCD Home Theater Wide-screen Projector:
The picture is very easy to adjust. There are dials that allow the position to be altered up and down or left and right. This sounds like a simple thing, but with having the projector in a set position, it was easy to adjust the picture to fit perfectly on the screen without having to physically move the projector.
The projector itself is huge, but it gets the job done nicely. I do wish the picture was a bit sharper.

Comments about Epson PowerLite V11H289020 LCD Home Theater Wide-screen Projector:
We bought this for use in my next solo theatre performance in a 40 seat house/art gallery. The reason we chose the Epson ([...]) over the Sony vpl-aw15, was for its 1600 Lumens (the Sony vpl-aw15's is only 1100), since there will be some light spill from other parts of the stage during the show. Its high contrast ratio also helps. It does very well in only semi-low light. In our living room, with almost no light-- it's fantastic. For the performance, the projector will be mounted on a wheeled tripod (I have no doubt about the Epson's durability) and aimed at several different walls, all with varying textures, and none of them having a proper HD screen. In the tests we've done at home, showing the picture onto various surfaces-- even a wall painted light green-- the whites looked absolutely white and the blacks were very dark. It was also fun knowing that pedestrians 2 1/2 blocks away could watch Elevator to the Gallows on our living room wall. Set-up is light-bulb-into-socket simple. Do follow directions though on how to turn off the unit since the bulb needs time to cool, which is a common procedure. Not having owned and used every projector-- I'm not able to offer contrasts (puns aside)-- however, last year we used a 37" HD TV (720p) for a different live performance which meant we had to lug that 100 lb. thing-- gingerly-- to and from the theatre space, and when the run of the show was over, it devoured so much of our bedroom, we traded it for a painting-- and got the projector. Much more portable, much better picture, and it doesn't block out the morning sun.Also-- we got a rebate and an extra bulb from Epson. It's great to have a backup bulb if the original pops during the middle of a performance.
