The Pelican 0940 Memory Card Case (Black) is a tough, water-resistant polycarbonate resin case made to carry and store four compact flash memory cards. There is a removable insert liner that absorbs shock and protects memory cards. An extra plain liner for custom configuration is included.

Keeping the image alive until you get it into the camera can be a challenge in adverse conditions. Protecting filled memory cards from damage is essential and I have found the Pelican card case ideal for both security and protection. I have accidently dropped the case in cold weather and have had is exposed to rain and mist. The cards came through without damage or loss of data. I store newly formated cards face up, and store used cards upside down to give me an easy visual when I need a new card in a hurry. With larger capacity cards the norm these days, the Pelican case gives me comfort that all my images will make it home safely to the computer. What else can one ask?

I tried using this card safe in my photography work. While I love and use the Pelican camera cases, I found their card case to be too much of a good thing. It is much larger than the Gepe case I use/prefer. It takes up more of the valuble space in my camera case than I desire and does not appear to provide any more protection than the Gepe. The black color is also a problem for me. It gets lost amoungst all the other small black items (filters, lens caps, etc) in my camera cases.

This case is a great worry free way to hold CF cards. It's waterproof, dust proof, etc, but it doesn't hold SD cards very well because they rattle around in the larger CF slots.

I've only had this a short time and won't truly be able to attest to this cases durability and construction until I get back from my vacation to europe. On first appearance the case feels solid, seals well, and holds the memory cards solidly. It also comes with several inserts making it quite versitile.

Shooting a wedding with multiple cameras, you gravitate towards anything that can make life simpler, right? This is one of them.
Card's full? Easy - put it back in the case upside down. Later, when you get that minute to sit down, you won't snap a card in your pocket in its little plastic case (those things are so cute, aren't they?)...then have to explain to the bride that half her wedding photos are, uhm...gone. 'Sorry' just doesn't seem to cut it in that situation; she'll foam at the mouth, and you know it.
Save yourself the nightmare and get a couple of these. Water and dust proof, I haven't found a better way to keep these precious little darlings safer. The case is light but very strong.
Your cards are immediately ready when you need them. You'll feel it in your pocket, but it's not so big that it will hamper your movement.
Pelican hit it out of the park with this one. My only gripe is that it's tough to see in the dark. If they had them in brighter colors, though, they'd never keep them on the shelves. Hmm...time to call Krylon...
Run, don't walk. If you're looking for the perfect case for your CF cards, you just found it.
