The .Mac Family Pack Software from Apple allows up to five users to utilize the benefits and features of a .Mac membership for a full year. Apple's .Mac service allows you to easily share your thoughts, photos and documents on the web. You also have access to Apple web-based e-mail, backup, and .Mac helps you to more easily sync information between your Apple notebook and desktop computer. The Family Pack gives you five individual accounts plus a Family iDisk to let you easily share files between the accounts. Also offering free software downloads and product discounts, .Mac is an excellent solution for the any Apple user.

Key Features

• iLife Media Publishing: .Mac works side by side with the Apple iLife application suite to to help you publish a web site. You can publish blogs, set up an RSS feed or even a podcast. Using .Mac together with iWeb allows you to create attractive web pages without having to worry about complicated programming. Unlike many web hosting services, .Mac does not place any advertisements around your content. You can even make a password protected web site that allows you to control who is allowed to see your content.

• Photocasting: Photocasting allows you to easily share your iPhoto albums with friends and family. iPhoto will sync with your .Mac account to make sure that your shared albums are up to date, removing the headaches that are often associated with sharing your digital pictures with friends and family.

• iDisk: The Family Pack gives you 10 GB of storage space to share between the user accounts. This gives you ample storage to share your photos and web sites with friends and family. You can also set up private storage to let you access personal files while traveling or away from your main computer.

• Backup 3: .Mac Backup 3 allows you to backup your critical files with ease. You have the options of backing up to CD, DVD, floppy disk, an external hard drive or an iPod. You can even backup files directly to your iDisk, giving you the piece of mind that they are secure on an Apple server in a different physical location than your computer.

• Mail: The .Mac Family Pack gives you five unique IMAP mail accounts. IMAP accounts store all of your mail on a central server, allowing you to access it from any computer with an internet connection. .Mac mail offers many advanced features including folder management, a spell checker, stored signatures, e-mail aliases, auto-reply handling and support for receiving individual attachments up to 10 MB in size.

• Groups: .Mac Groups let you set up private groups to help facilitate communication with community and work groups. You can establish an unlimited amount of groups as long as you stay within your storage limits. Each group web site is password protected and features a group image, slideshow functionality, a message board, an announcements page, a group calendar, a list of members, group published web pages, a group iDisk and a section where group members can post links to other sites.

• Sync: .Mac Sync allows you to keep data from your multiple Macintosh computers in sync. Panther users will be able to keep their Safari bookmarks, address book contacts and iCal calendars in sync with each other. Tiger users also have the option of syncing their keychains and e-mail accounts. Your web favorites, calendar and contacts should remain consistent no matter which of your computers you are using; Sync makes that a reality.

• Family Pack: The Family Pack gives you 10 GB of storage and five separate .Mac accounts. It is a great way to keep your entire family connected and in sync and connected.
