The PCTV HD Card PCI HDTV Tuner from Pinnacle allows you to receive over-the-air HDTV broadcasts right onto your desktop. The tuner features a PCI interface for installation. It features integrated tuning and the ability to import video from composite or S-Video sources. The card also supports standard definition broadcast and cable television signals, making it an extremely versatile solution. It allows you to watch, record and playback recorded video, making it an excellent addition to your Media Center PC.
- HDTV Tuner
- This tuner adds an HDTV tuner to your computer, letting you take full advantage of the high-quality format. Network HDTV broadcasts are available over the air for free in most areas. In many cases, all you'll have to do is connect an HDTV antenna to the card to receive the signal.
- PVR Functionality
- The tuner comes bundled with Pinnacle TVCenter Pro software, which features an Electronic TV Programming Guide. Users can schedule TV recording by searching for keywords or using an electronic program guide. You can even schedule recording of an entire season of a TV show with a single click.
- DVD Archiving
- You can easily archive your recorded media to DVD to help you conserve hard drive space. You'll even be able to record video directly to DVD.
- Remote Control
- You wouldn't be watching TV without a remote control in hand. The included remote allows you to quickly change channels and navigate through the PVR software. This makes watching TV on your computer as easy as watching TV on your TV.

The instructions for using the card were very poor. Maybe it would have been okay if I had a cable connection but I have satellite TV. Key things needed to make it operate were no where to be found. I only learned of them by calling tech support which was quite good. I still have questions about recording and there are no instructions. I'll need to make another call to tech support to figure it out.

this tv card really needs fast memory cpu and harddrive to work had to boot to xp 64bit pro downloaded the 64bit drivers from their web site to use this card for recording so suggest running the provided software with xp 64bit pro
