The Vixen #8619 Battery Box is used with the DD1 & DD2 axis controllers, which are the 'commanders' for the MT-1 right ascension and declination axis motor. Although this battery box is originally supplied with the DD1 & DD2, it is offered as a replacement for one you've lost or in case you wish to have near-immediate exchange of exhausted batteries.
