Comments about Tenba Roadie Rolling Grip Case, 48" (Black):
The 48" Roadie Rolling Grip Case by Tenba is fantastic but I bought way, way too big. I carry a tripod, 2 Manfrotto stands and a couple of smaller stands and light modifiers. This bag is way too big for just that. Now, that being said, this bag is incredible in both design and strength of materials. I would put it up against anything else in its class that isn't a hard case. When put on hard floors, the case rolls around easily making it a dream for fluid, dynamic shoots. Also, the bag can open fully or just the top. The interior 2" straps are nicely laid out and very easy to adjust making this bag a plus for rough terrain. The interior pocket is very nice for fold-flat items. I would suggest this bag for anyone that has larger items to carry such as C stands, gobos etc[...]

This case holds a lot! I carry 3 C Stands along with a tripod and 'extras'. Holds everything easily and with the wheels, it's very easy to carry on location.

Comments about Tenba Roadie Rolling Grip Case, 48" (Black):
I have two of them, and both have lost their back wheels due to the famous plastic edge that cannot handle stairs. Both zippers have broken "handles" (don't know the word in english - the little thing you pull to close/open).
Yes, I have used them alot and in heavy duty conditions. Day in, day out. But they didnt last for many months.
Unfortenately there isn't any other options out there with this length AND with wheels, so I guess I will get another pair...

I have had this for 6 months. I travel alot with it which is great but after all the wear and tear the bag tore and both zippers have broke off. wasn't expecting that since they say they have the strongest zipper. I will buy another one but i guess i need to expect it not to last long.

We use this with 2 A0040CS steel stands and Elinchrom Octa 74". Yes, all 3 fit. While i understand the gripe about the plastic piece near the wheels, we've never experienced this issue. I guess we've been lucky so far, but it's really not a huge deal.

Comments about Tenba Roadie Rolling Grip Case, 48" (Black):
I bought this case even though reading the previous persons review about the design flaw of the rear wheels having a blunt hard plastic edge making it impossible to lift up stairs, not only that but the case when loaded with anything does not roll flat on the ground. The hard plastic edge next to the rear wheels sticks out too far and to make things worse the screw they use to hold the plastic mount on protrudes so it's already scratched up multiple areas on my apartments hardwood floors!!!! I am returning this bag right away! I cannot have my equipment, let alone a BAG destroying a clients floors!

Comments about Tenba Roadie Rolling Grip Case, 48" (Black):
in concept, this case is great. it is built very well, has some very nice features and i suspect i will be using it for quite a long time.
first, a small gripe: a case that holds 4' stands should be larger than 10"x10" on the inside. my thoughts are 12"-14" square would have been a better size for this case. once loaded with a couple umbrellas and accessories on the lid pockets, and a few extension cords in the back, it can only comfortably hold 2-3 stands of the 48" collapsed variety.
but that being said, the case has 1 major design flaw, which had i known prior to purchase, would likely have swayed my decision from it: on the bottom near the back-most wheels, the designers have put a flat lip over an inch high, rather than a smooth transition from the bottom runners. the product features describe "Tough dual bottom runners" to protect the case against stairs and other hazards. but as you climb stairs pulling this case behind you, the stair edge will indeed strike the bottom runner first, then as you pull the case up, the edge will come into contact with this lip in front of the wheels, and you're stopped dead in your tracks.
in order to successfully navigate stairs by yourself, you must flip the bag over on its side, thereby negating the protective runners. and with a case this size, there is no way to just 'skip' it up over a stair edge.
in summary, the bag is constructed well, the wheel and caster design is brilliant, and there are plenty of handles and straps for most carrying and moving situations. but once you try to pull this thing up a flight of stairs, or out of the back of a vehicle without a nice, flat floor, you will be very annoyed.

Trunk style case holds a whole bunch of stuff of all kinds. 2 C-stand turtle bases fit in the fabric side pockets leaving the whole inside space open for stands, modifiers, clamps, etc. I have both sizes, would like another of each. Rolls on a flat floor, too, besides rolling on the end while transporting. Opening top and side is quite handy. Heckuva case for the price, comes with 5 year warranty.

If you are a strobist and need to walk in with everything all at once, this is just the bag for you. It is large enough for stands and umbrellas, plus you can roll right on in without having to make a dozen trips to your car.
