This is a very good bag (well, of course it's made by Lowe Pro). I thought it would be a little larger though. It fits my canon 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS lens with 20D w/ vertical grip attached, 24-70 mm f/2.8L lens and canon flash. I had to remove the pouch to make space for gear. If I purchase any new gear I will need another bag.
This bag is great though. It's very comfortable. I will continue to use it even if I purchase a larger bag. There are always days that you don't need to carry everything with you.

I use this backpack to protect and carry my camera when outdoors. I like that I can put a water bottle on the side. But it's hard to reach (when wearing it) if I just want a sip. I have plenty of space inside. I love the two buckles - one at the hip and one across the chess. This makes the backpack easier to carry on your back.
One design flaw for me is when you attach the tripod. It is very awkward to put down. I have to be extra careful when walking by narrow paths. I don't want to scratch it by accidentally brushing up against anything nor knock it out of the holding pouch. And it only holds small tripods.
I like the backpack, it's safe for my equipment inside and it's easy on my back. I will not recommend it because the tripod holder feels so insecure to me.

I love that this pack can only be accessed from the back panel. Best prevention for theft!
I use this with my 5D, 580 flash and two compact lenses.
You need a bigger bag for longer expeditions. This pack is perfect for day tripping. Buy the bag that suits the job!

I usually take outdoor pictures so this backpack is great because
1. it fits comfortably
2. I can change a lens without having to set my backpack down on the ground (which sometimes is not safe)
3. The lenses and body are secure and safe as I hike a variety of terrains
4. The pack stands up straight when set down
5. The unexposed zipper keeps your gear safe

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
I got this bag to use for day trips when i don't want to use my Kata 3N1-33.
Despite it's small size I'm been able to fit most everything I need into it:
-flash
-telephoto lens
-50 mm lens
-camera with kit lens attached
-audio recorder
-GoPro camera
-chargers, extra battery, cards etc.
plus it even holds a tripod
I only have a few complaints:
- a bit of a tight squeeze to fit my 60D in the bag as shown on the pamphlet (I guess the left side of the camera (the side with the dial on it) juts out a bit more than the one in the picture, and therefore the center padding pushes against the lens harder)
-The zipper doesn't unzip all the way to the bottom of the bag, making it difficult to put/get to lens down there, unless they are telephoto/longer and you lay them down (but this wastes some space
- The only other complaint is that because of the flap of fabric around the zipper, it is hard to quickly open and close the bag (which may be good if you are worried about you camera getting stolen, but it creates a bit of a problem when you're out and want to get to your camera quicker (I'd suggest getting the Kata D-3N1-11, or 22; similar size, and easier to get to things quick)
Other than that, it's a great bag, seems pretty durable, and able to withstand the elements, and comfortable to wear.

It`s a nice compact bag. If you are looking for a compact bag for your DSLR camera that`s the bag for you.
I was able to fit my EOS 400D plus a 18-135mm lens
a 55-200 mm lens plus I have room for the charger and some other accessories.
If you have bigger lenses (such as a zoom one i.e a 100-400 mm I suggest the bigger one the flipside 300)
Nice strong and waterproof material.
It has an internal pocket and an external one. very useful to store your memory card, cable and other small stuff.
I like very much the fact you can actually open the backpack on the rear side(the side closer to your body) so it give you an extra protection of your gear especially when walking in busy place.

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
I just got this from B&H last week and love it. I was carrying a canon bag around and it was nice, but kind of bulky and not very comfortable. I went to B&H looking for a back pack style and got this one and I'm very pleased. Shlepping around the city was easy with this, and the thin style of it made less of a weapon when trying to turn around on the subway!
I holds my equipment nicely, Canon 7D, two extra lenses, flash, other small equipment. Plenty on nice pouches. With the waist buckle used you can turn it around and it kind of just lays there like a small table so you can change out equipment, the part that opens is against your back, no one can unzip it on you, and when it's turned around in front of you it open up so you can get your stuff.--that is really nice. A little hard to get back on your back, just un-do the waist strap and put it back on.
The only complaint I have, and a small one, is that the chest strap and pull off because of the way it attaches to the back pack. It's nice because you can move it up and down for a better fir, but that is why it can pull off, goes back on easy enough, just keep it loose and you should be OK.

I use the Lowepro Flipside 200 to carry a portion of my camera gear when I don't want to carry my big bag. In the Flipside 200 I have a Canon 7D, EFS 18-135mm, EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS, 1.4x tele-converter, extra battery and charger, remote switch, flash cards, a pair of binoculars and a pair of glasses. There is still more room for another small lens or maybe some extension tubes.
This is the perfect bag to travel with it fits in small places. This is the perfect bag if you are going to be in a crowd of people. There is only one small issue the side pocket is a little small, it is hard to zip the zipper if there was just a little more material for the pocket cover it would be good, this did not keep me from rating this bag at 5 stars. Lowepro is defiantly the only camera bag you should own they are durable and well built. I hope this review will help in making your choice. For me I made the correct choice.

Perfect bag if you have 3 lenses. I have a Canon t2i and 3 lenses that I typically take with me. holds everything great. love the customizable interior and the tripod holder is very nice. Only complaint is that in order to make is sit on your back comfortably, it needs to sit lower and then the top of the tripod tends to angle outward and back and bumps in to things. wish that it had a built in rain cover like many other lowepro bags do.

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
the bag is super compact, a lot smaller than i originally thought. comfortable to carry and holds a good days worth of gear. things get a little tight but was able to put in my t2i with 24-70L (w/hood) attached, 70-200L 4.0 (w/hood), 50m prime, a flash unit, shotgun microphone, 2 filters, and spare cards and batteries. normally i wouldn't carry so much but was backpacking in Taiwan. all this with a tripod can get a little heavy, but again it's comfortable to carry for a day. it rained and my equipment was safe and dry. opening the bag from the inside can be a hassle, but it does keep it safe and secure when there are a lot of people around. if i had to do it again, i'd probably go with the larger bag...

I bought this as a present for my mother. I wanted her to have a light bag where she can carry and organize all her cameras. Usually she sticks them in a regular bag. And she doesn't like shoulder bags because it feels heavy for her. I wanted to give her something very small and light weight. This was perfect. The two straps are very comfortable and help make it feel very light. The only thing smaller was a Tamrac travel bag but this was more stylish and had the ability to carry a monopod. Monopod is great to have so she can shoot video over a crowd of people. This is her gear she can fit in the bag: Slik Lighty Pod 100 (available only at my local store) or Slik Lighty Pod III, Sony NEX 5, Canon G10, Sony HDR-CX150, and 2 Panasonic Lumix cameras plus room for more. I haven't heard her complain about the weight and she loves it.

I use this for my Lumix DMC-Z100. More than enough room to add my old DMC-Z7 as well.
Love that it opens in the back for security & for keeping my back clean. If I lay it on the ground to open it, any dirt it picks up is on the front and not transferred to me when I put the backpack back on.
Love that I can move the dividers around to fit my needs too.

This must be my 6th camera bag and its one of my favorites. It will fit a Nikon D700 with grip. Although it just fits it still feels ok to wear the pack. I have a Flipside 300 also which is perfect for the Nikon D700 with grip. I plan to use the 200 to transport my Nikon 300mm F2.8 with teleconverter on the back of another person...sweet and light

Perfect back pack. I love it. Very well constructed. Padded. Light. Nice looking.
Only bad thing is the zipper is a little cheap and its not deep enough to hold my 50d with the batt grip. I'm gonna keep it and use it anyway though.

This is a good quality backpack for mountaineer, cross country and backpack travel.
I purchased this bag because it provides a tripod holder, harness, adjustable interior and it looks cool :D
You may carry:
(Accessories include Filters, Remote or lightmeter)
A. 1 DSLR Body (600D/D5100/E-5) + 2 Zoom Lenses + 1 prime Lens + Flash + Accessories
B. 1 Professional DSLR Body (5D/D700/D300) + 1 wide angle Zoom (17-40/24-105) + 1 Tile Zoom (70-200mm)
C. 1 SLR Body (OM-system) + 3~5 Prime Lenses (28 to 300mm) + Accessories
D. 1 Mirrorless Body (G/GH Series/NEX/NX) + 4~5 Lenes + Flash + Accessories (+ 1 point&shot or GF2 Body)
Please note:
1. You are not able to carry Laptop (iPad may be OK)
2. The bag looks very small for a big man
3. Just enough to hold a 1.5 KG Tripod, loose
4. Access from back, not convenient for snapshot
5. Zipper is hard to go through the angle
6. Inconvenient for street photography
7. Might be too small for 1D & D3 series.
In summary, it does not suit many heavy equipment, no quick access. But good fashion looking & secure for light travelers and beginners. Hand carry luggage in airplane permitted. Recommended for mirrorless users .
