I have a Pentax DSLR and 3 lens, my camera and 1 lens fit in the easy access compartment the other lens is in the larger area, where I have some other items like gloves and some power bars. it has a mesh compartment for a small water bottle. I like this bag small compact and just enough to take on a quick photo trip, on bike or foot. The added water-resistant material gives me piece of mind. The camera area is a bit on the big side so some adjusting to make sure you get a snug fit will make it work. Gave it 4 stars becuase if you a telephoto (300mm) lens attached it wont fit in the bag, you would have to remove it.

This bag is handy in the sense that you can quickly get to your camera with all the flaps buckled and all. It was, however, barely large enough to fit my Nikon D90 with my 18-105 mm zoom attached--and only a bit awkwardly and with the dividers arranged in a strange, unintended way. I would be fine with a prime lens or a smaller zoom, but anything larger would require that you unmount the lens before you could put it back in the bag.

We took this bag on a two week trip to Europe. It fit everything we needed in the bottom area - camera, lenses, charger - and then we had the top for tour books, umbrella, light sweater. It also was very easy to access the camera while keeping the bag on one shoulder with the side zip. We were very pleased.

Very light backpack - really light. No hurting shoulders after a whole day walking by high temperatures. Very discrete bag. Camera easy to access. Enough space for personal stuff.

Comments about Lowepro Fastpack 100 Backpack (Black):
I needed something to carry my Nikon D5000 with 18-200mm lens attached, along with my 35mm and SB700 flash. It needed to fit these and be comfortable to carry all day long (we visit Disney World alot!). The narrow strap on shoulder bags would hurt my shoulder after a couple of hours and would keep falling off.
This bags fits all the above gear nicely (with room to spare for other gadgets). I had to remove one of the velcro'ed separators to fit the camera with the lens attached, but I expected that. The wide strap sits comfortably on my shoulder and allows me to put it on or take if off quickly (the sling bags don't go on/off that easily).

I primarily use my 550D for video work, but now and again I like to take some photos with it, I'm certainly very fond of nature and street photography, so I'm out and about all day with my camera.
It's nice to know that my camera and lenses are always safe and close by, also they're very accessible.
This bag is extremely comfortable, and makes my heavy equipment feel like a feather, all day long. Best camera bag I've ever owned, thoroughly pleased and impressed!

First of, this is not a large bag so be advised if you intend to use it for anything larger than a compact SLR. If you need something to carry a mid to pro level SLR along with large glass, get a bigger bag.
That aside, the functionality of the bag is great. Easy access and secure at the same time. Depending on how it's loaded, it can get a bit top-heavy so it's bound to feel a bit unbalanced when it is set down, but this is a non-issue for the most part. It is well padded so it definately keeps it's contents safe.

I bought this as an upgrade from my older Lowepro top loader bag. I fit my camera body, two lenses, battery charger, 2 batteries, 4 memory cards, jump drive, card reader, external hard drive, a pen, a pencil, usb cable, a small note pad, business cards, and my rocket air cleaning kit all in the bag.
It's small, but you can fit quite a lot of stuff in it. My only gripe with the bag is that I can't seem to find a way to carry my tripod on it comfortably, but that's not really the bag's fault.
I like that the bag is low profile and unless people identify with the brand they can't tell you are carrying your camera gear in it.
The straps are comfy. I've walked around for several hours with gear on my back and have never once complained about having how the bag sits on my shoulders.
I'll most likely get an even larger version of this bag once I start adding more lenses and flashes to my collection, but for now this does the job perfectly.
Lowepro makes great bags and they last for years and years.

Comments about Lowepro Fastpack 100 Backpack (Black):
As with all of the Lowepro I own, its built very well. I am able to hold my xsi with a 90mm attached, the 17-55mm, 55-250mm, and the 430exII flash. I am 6', standard built and this sits on my back very comfortably. The quick access is nice, as well as all of the extra pockets. If I needed, I could easily lose the 55-250mm, squish the flash in with the camera, and put another smaller camera up top. Overall though, if your planning on using the top compartment for cords, lunch, or etc... There is really only room for my camera with the 90mm, and the 55-250 in the lower pocket, or my camera with the 17-55, the flash, and the 55-250. I do wish there were more Velcro so I could configure better, and a tripod strap would be nice (both very easy to add yourself) but overall I am happy.

I was looking for a small backpack to carry on hikes, etc. The Fastpack 100 was exactly what I was looking for. It fits my Canon T1i with 18-55mm attached and 55-250mm zoom, batteries/charger, cables, users manual, with the whole upper compartment open for whatever else I may need. You could probably fit a few more lenses with cases in it.

I love this bag. It is ideal for a body with a zoom and an extra lens. I can also fit a couple batteries, a charger, memory cards, pens, and all the other necessary accessories I need. I can even attach a tripod to it by putting two legs in the mesh pocket and using a strap around the top. Buy this if you need something for just walking around town.

I bought this to carry my Canon 7D with EF-S 15-85 zoom lens, EF 28mm f/1.8 lens, and all the accessories for aforementioned equipment. It works great for this, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to carry much more than this. It is a very compact bag, which could either be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. Great for urban photography as you won't be bumping people and things with your bag, and it's lightweight which I find nice for hiking. The bag seems well built, but I don't put my gear through any endurance challenges.

Plan to use this on an upcoming vacation and didn't want to lug around a regular camera bag. This is just the right size for my canon T1i with either the 18-55 or 55-200 lens attached, plus room for a couple of other lenses in customizable slots and several other compartments for accessories. Slick the way it comes off one shoulder for quick side access to the camera. Might be too small if you have several lenses.

Comments about Lowepro Fastpack 100 Backpack (Black):
I researched extensively before buying and read many reviews. This backpack was exactly the right one for my needs. My Canon T1i fits in it with the 55-255mm lens on it! My kit lens 18-55mm fits neatly in the other slot. You can fit the Canon T1i camera into this backpack with the 55-255mm lens on it. This is really handy because of the easy access pocket which lets you get super quick access to your camera. This backpack has all the room I need for an extra battery, memory cards, plus room for lens cleaner bottle, wallet, car keys, camera manual etc. Definitely the right size for my back and my needs. B&H was a pleasure to do business with, very fast and efficient.
