Vestax CM-01 Direct Drive Turntable

The Vestax Guber CM-01 is built on the idea that a record player should look as beautiful as it sounds. Since turntables often reside in the home, Vestax believes they should add to the visual beauty of the space they're placed in, as well as provide the lush and warm sound of music from vinyl records.

While the components of the CM-01 are interesting to look at, their form has an intended function. The five brass weights on the underside of its clear acrylic platter ensure a balanced rotational spin for optimal speed and sound quality. An internal preamp is provided so you can plug the CM-01 into a sound system that lacks a dedicated phono input.

The CM-01 does not come with a dust cover or with a needle cartridge. It's capable of playing 33, 45, and 78 RPM vinyl records. It features a high-quality integrated RIAA equalizer. The CM-01 features a direct drive to spin its 5mm thick platter. It has the same high-torque motor that's found in Vestax's professional DJ turntables. A +/- 10% pitch slider and start/stop button are included. These controls enable you to mix records DJ-style (however, the CM-01 is not designed for scratching).
