The Gitzo GH3750QR Series 3 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead follows the same outer shell design and look of the G1375M, but has completely redesigned and re-engineered internal components and mechanisms. The weight has been reduced by 15-17%, and new Gitzo technologies have been introduced.
Exceptionally smooth rotation, positive locking, and rapid camera mounting are all features common to the Gitzo designed range of ballheads. The graduated base, with independent locking facilities permits perfect panoramic photography. The design of the panoramic base permits the ballhead to be used for table top or near ground level work with or without the use of a tripod. This is an offset ballhead, which makes it possible to point more than 90° down. Includes the standard size Gitzo quick release plate.

Comments about Gitzo GH3750QR Series 3 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead:
The actual head is very nice and easy to use. What makes this a failure is the quick release mount, the sub-standard rubber on the quick release will slid under weight of your camera and lens in portrait view, Meaning; if you place the camera with a pro weight lens in portrait view the weight of the lens and camera will sloooowly slide downward, making this head useless for that purpose. Even though the head is rated 26 pounds.
The actual head is solid but the rubber attached to the quick release slips and slides under the weight of a good quality lens. It will not hold the camera in place no matter how tight you attach the plate to the camera. This problem has been mentioned in other reviews for this head in the series 2 line, you would think the company would have corrected the problem with the series 3 model - but it is the same old quick release using a flawed design.

Comments about Gitzo GH3750QR Series 3 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead:
The head is solid and flexible, It allowed quick and easy adjustments.
- However, I am not happy with the quick release attachment. No matter how hard I tightened the base to the camera the camera "Slowly Twisted" when the head was tilted in portrait view. Very disappointing, for the price. The head is rated for 26 pounds but my Nikon 70-200 lens showed the weakness in the design of the quick release mounting surface, the rubber surface is flawed.
- The actual head is great, but attaching a camera and medium weight lens will frustrate any user. The rubber mounting surface simply will not do. I am sending mine back to GITZO.

Comments about Gitzo GH3750QR Series 3 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead:
I got this head to use with my Gitzo Explorer legs and they work marvelously together! I can get literally any and every angle with the pair.
This head has a bit of a learning curve to it (especially with the Explorer's tilting center post feature - I'm still getting used to them, so I have to think first which one is best to use to get the angle I want), but I really am enjoying it.
I got this instead of the Series 2 Off-Center Head because this one has a level and supports more weight. I'm very glad I made that choice, as the level is definitely handy and I don't have to worry about what I put on the head weight-wise.
The panoramic feature is easy to use and a nice feature. The ballhead is easy to use and is very smooth. The back part that the ballhead is in rotates around (loosens with the ballhead dial) and is good to have.
The quick-release feature (an absolute must-have for me) works well and definitely holds the camera steadily in place (no slipping or sliding or any other movements). I need to get an extra plate for my other camera so I can just leave the plates on the cameras for super-quick use of the tripod.
I'm happy with my purchase of this head. The extra weight from getting the Series 3 is worth it over the Series 2, in my opinion, but they are both impressive-looking.

Comments about Gitzo GH3750QR Series 3 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead:
Used with a Pentax SLR for natural macro pictures, often near ground level. Very good positioning capability and solid operation. No shifting when locked and little stickyness when positioning. Camera plate attachment is very quick and very solid. Price is very high however and it is on the heavy side.
