The Bolide Technology Group BIC 3120-4KIT is a surveillance kit consisting of a 4-port PCI board and application software. The board and software are designed to install in a Windows based PC, turning it into a virtual DVR. Because the board does most of the processing on its own, the host PC can be a very basic computer with minimal system requirements.
As with a standalone DVR, users can remotely access the PC via the Internet to view live and recorded images as well as to control a dome camera's PTZ functions. Furthermore, all this can be done on the go using a compatible PDA device. Another unique feature of this DVR is its support for Dynamic IP addresses, making network setup and configuration quick and easy.
- Dynamic IP Address Support
- Dynamic IP address support means that the DVR can be assigned a network address that doesn't stay permanently with it. Devices with Dynamic addresses are much easier to setup and configure on a network when compared to Static IP devices, requiring minimal or no user input. This is true even in facilities containing relatively few network devices.
- Compatible with PDA Devices
- The client software included with the PCI board is designed for compatibility with certain PDA devices. This will allow users to quickly check on cameras and alarm conditions anytime and from anywhere.
- Standard Web Browser Access
- Most DVR functions can be accessed from a remote location simply by logging on to a standard Web browser without the need to install any specialized software.
- 2 Audio Channels
- Audio from up to two cameras can be recorded along with their video. The ability to see as well as hear an occurrence allows users to better asses a situation, greatly enhancing security performance.
