Comments about Audioengine A2 Desktop Speakers (White):
Using it as studio monitors for sound design, and for listening to music. It looks great and the sound quality is awesome, only flaws I could point out is that sounds do start to get distorted once you crank it up over 80%, but I hardly ever turn it up that high. The woofers blow anything not weighted on my desk right away, great speakers and alternative studio monitors for a cheaper price.

Comments about Audioengine A2 Desktop Speakers (White):
I was looking for a small pair of speakers that I could rock out to my music collection stored on my computer. My inclination was to go to the local big box store for a set of Bose, but after a little research I found these little beauties. Amazingly rich, full sound for such a small set of speakers. Dont need a sub (though I am sure it wouldnt hurt). I just hooked up the speaker to the headphone output and they are such a huge improvement over the plastic logitech speakers I used to have that wore out on me. I also have Audioengines D1 outboard DAC on the way (backordered), cant wait to see what these are going to sound like when that comes in! These speakers are exactly what I was looking for.

Good sound from a very compact speaker. Use in home office and are fine for that purpose. Much better than other small speakers I have used Very happy with the bang for the buck.

Comments about Audioengine A2 Desktop Speakers (White):
I looked long and hard for amazing sounding computer speakers that were cheap. I put these up against the Bose 2 desktop 2.0 speakers and this blew them away - well worth the extra $100. They look beautiful and are amazing for the kind of music I listen to (probably aren't ideal for heavy-bass needs which is just fine for me... otherwise dip into the much bulkier 2.1 world). So everything is fantastic except that to turn them off, you have to reach your hand around to the backside of the first speaker and turn the volume dial till it clicks off. It's just a very mild nuisance which they maintained to keep the aesthetics clean.
It's my only quibble. Love the speakers anyway.
