The FibreBridge 2400D 4Gb Fibre-Channel to SCSI Bridge from ATTO is designed to help you build a Fibre-Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) from your existing SCSI storage devices. The bridge features two independent SCSI connectors and two SFP Fibre-Channel connectors.
The FibreBridge delivers outstanding features including sustained transfer rates of up to 470MB/sec, serverless backup, remote management and backwards compatibility with 1Gb and 2Gb Fibre-Channel devices. This bridge is a great place to start when you are building your SAN.
- Fibre-Channel Performance
- When building a SAN there is nothing like Fibre-Channel performance. Featuring bus transfer rates of up to 800MB/sec and sustained rates of up to 470MB/sec, Fibre-Channel breathes new life into your Ultra320 SCSI devices.
- SCSI Device Connectivity
- The FibreBridge allows you to connect various types of Ultra320 SCSI devices to your SAN including hard drives, tape drives and CD libraries. It is fully backwards compatible with all single-ended SCSI devices and all previous SCSI protocols.
- Intelligent Bridging Architecture
- ATTO's Intelligent Bridging Architecture is designed to seamlessly integrate storage devices of different interfaces by implementing a standard solution in bridging hardware that allows for SANs to be created from a wide variety of heterogeneous devices. This concept is at the core of the FibreBridge's design, allowing you to bring SCSI devices into a Fibre-Channel environment.
- Advanced Management
- The FibreBridge features advanced management tools that let you administer the device remotely. You can connect to either a command line interface, an ASCII text-based menu system or a more user-friendly web-based ATTO ExpressNAV system through the Fibre-Channel connection, via the RS-232 serial port or over a LAN using a standard Ethernet connection. This gives you a wide variety of options on how to manage your bridge, offering your network administrator the flexibility they need to efficiently manage your SAN.
