Tamrac 972 Micro-Camcorder Convertible Plus Shoulder Bag - Gray
The Tamrac 972 Micro Camcorder Convertible Plus bag is designed to hold and protect Micro 8mm and VHS-C camcorders up to 10" long in a compact convertible carrying case. This bag features a Tuck-A-Way hip belt, a padded ABS plastic platform for added stability and support and a Windowpane-Mesh Pocket inside top for lens paper, caps and accessories.
The EasyGrip composite material is used in the handles. The material is exceptionally non-slip, yet soft and easy on your hands. The inside lining of the bag is made of a smooth, weatherproof, lightweight nylon that does not collect dust or lint. The linings are gray in color to make it easier to find equipment in low light.
For large format shooters, the 972 makes a great case for storing 2 or 3 lenses mounted upon Linhof Technika-type 96 x 99mm, Horseman 80 x 80mm or other smaller sized lensboards.

My trusty original 972 bag finally wore out after 14 years of travel to about 35 countries. I was thrilled to find it still in production, [...]. I travel with a Canon IS3, extra batteries and SD cards, an iPod Touch and ear buds, eyeglasses in a firm case, notebooks, pens, kleenex, hand cream, etc. etc. It ALL fits comfortably in my 972, with a pocket or zipper compartment for everything. It fits under the seat on airplanes, is not at all bulky, is lightweight. It slings crosswise over my shoulder and hooks around the waist for hands-free use, but has a handle on top for carrying ease. For me it has been the absolutely perfect travel camera bag.
