Instead of spending $50 to $100 for a back strap system I decided to try these clips on my Go lite backpack. I biked 15 miles around Shark Valley in Everglades National Park with my Canon D400 and a 70-200 F2.8 hanging from the straps with no problem. The camera was close, comfortable and gave me room to work. Had my binoculars underneath the camera and I could unhook one strap to swing to camera off to the side to use the bins. This product exceeded my expectations. Since my backpack didn't have D-rings I installed two metal ovals to attach the clips too. I'm now going to see if there is a quick disconnect camera strap. There are times I still want the strap now that these clips are installed.

Use it to attach camera to D rings when wearing ThinkTank Glass Taxi. Also useful to get the strap out of the way when using tripod.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet but it seems a very easy solution to take the weight of the camera off your neck when hiking with a backpack. I use the Tamrac camera strap which has the same clips so it only takes 10 seconds to swap the strap for the backpack straps.

Used in conjunction with Lowepro Pro Trekker 300 on recent photo trip. Enables the pack to support the weight of the camera and lens, takes the weight off of your neck.

Just used this for the first time on a 40+ mile trek in Peru. I didn't know how to best carry my DSLR, but knew I didn't want to carry it around my neck, while carrying a pack. This puts the weight on the pack, so the camera is hardly noticeable. When you don't have the pack on you can quickly unsnap the camera and add the standard Tamrac strap, which is also strong, and the clips are very strong as well. Nice system!

I was trying to figure out how best to carry my camera with my hiking gear without putting a lot of stress on my neck, and the backpack straps worked great for me.

Since we use Tamrac Camera straps already, having a few sets of these on each backpack makes switching from the normal camera strap to a backpack seamless.
Having the camera hang off the backpack frees up your hands to hold onto a hiking staff, work with the tripod or swap lenses

Works great. I use the chest strap of the backpack to keep the camera from swinging. You do need to also carry a regular neck strap that will click into the camera part of the system to use when you take the backpack off.

Comments about Tamrac N-11 Backpack to Camera Straps:
This product allowed me to use my camera hanging from the shoulder straps of my knapsack or backpack and not around my neck. My camera was constantly available for use without searching for it and I didn't even feel the weight. The straps have a quick release that allow the camera to be put away quickly in case it rains.

These straps are great. We live here in Az. and hike every weekend. My camera hanging around my neck would drive me crazy. I purchased these straps and they a Awesome. They connect to your camera just like the original neck strap does with the exception they hook right to your backpack. They hook on easily and come off easily. The camera is right there in front of you, no more neck strap rubbing. I plan to buy a few more of these for family members.

I have a harness system that I obtained from an "Army/Navy Store". This accessory was the perfect thing to attache the camera to the DIY harness system.

Comments about Tamrac N-11 Backpack to Camera Straps:
I used to lug around a shoulder bag with the camera over the back of neck or over a shoulder. Age has caught up with me. :) I switched to a Tamrac backpack and added these straps so that the camera can be attached direct to the pack's shoulder straps. This distributes the weight of the camera over both shoulders and I can now work longer with far less pain.

Being an avid backpacker/hiker ad a photographer there is simply no better camera strap than the N-11 strap. The straps keep the weight off my neck and allows versatile movement of my camera with a secure base. I am planning a 270 mile photography hike, The Long Trail, and this strap lets me carry my Nikon DSLR with ease.

Comments about Tamrac N-11 Backpack to Camera Straps:
I love the quick disconnect but now I need to buy a Tamrac neck strap for when I'm shooting shorter sessions without my backpack.
The hooks lock solidly and I doubt them easly coming off the d-rings.
They take all the weight off my neck and move to my shoulder straps which is much more bearable.

Comments about Tamrac N-11 Backpack to Camera Straps:
I used these straps with Think Tank's harness and belt system. I was shooting wildlife, whales, seal, birds, etc. from a boat this past week and these straps kept the camera secure. These staps relieved the possibility of dropping the camera in the water if someone in the crowded boat were to bump me. I purchased two sets of straps and was able to keep two cameras with different lenses at hand at all times and both cameras were secure and always ready to use. This is a great accessory for wildlife shooting and for situations where you may need two cameras available in a flash.
