Only 4 star, just because it is not bright enough. Other than that, it is very easy to install, works absolutely flawlessly.

This products is Fantastic product. Just the right sixe for my use. So easy to set up and use. It is easy to change from USA plug to Australian plug. You just change cord and the transformer does the rest. (just a few dollars or use cord from old monitor "it the same") So great for any country power system.[...]

Comments about Wacom Cintiq 12WX 12.1" Interactive Pen Display:
I have 3 kids who just love to draw. We were trying to decide between the less expensive tablets that have no screen and the Cintiq 12WX.
The day it arrived and we opened the box, our kids have not stopped using it! The first day they used it for 8 hours straight!
Not only do they draw more, but their drawing on the tablet has improved the artist within!
It was quick and easy to setup, works great, and most importantly, we received the coveted prize "I love it Mom and Dad! This is awesome!"
If you are not sure the extra investment is worth it, let me assure you, it is!
My kids are going to art class next, and they are stepping up to the challenge to learn Photoshop and other drawing programs!
This tool is not just for professionals, but an excellent investment into an aspiring artist that may be living under your roof!

Comments about Wacom Cintiq 12WX 12.1" Interactive Pen Display:
I typically use this product for graphics design and for my studies. The ability to write my own notes for mathematically inclined subects comes in handy but it truly shines as a pressure sensitive device in graphics design.
A sweet graphics tablet for anyone lacking the coordination or with the terrible affliction known as shakey hands. It's infinitely more comfortable to use when compared to other tablets. Unless you're a professional artist it's unlikely that you'll need a bigger screen. Colour wise, the screen itself is so good it makes my LED monitor look like complete garbage in comparison. The software that comes with it is also a fairly nice test device for the tablet's capabilities.
The only con would be the absolute explosion of cables once it's set up that prevents you from moving it around too easily. While it does get a little warm towards the bottom of the tablet it's not really enough to cause discomfort or serious concern.
For international buyers, please be aware that the two part power cable has American pin heads, so be prepared to buy an adaptor or to find another connector compatible with the tablet. Also, be sure to download the lastest tablet driver updates from the website to enable the more accurate 4 point calibration which doesn't come on the disc that's in the box.
All in all, I'm immensely happy with this product and it's even better than what I thought it would be.

Comments about Wacom Cintiq 12WX 12.1" Interactive Pen Display:
Giving this 5 stars - my only minor gripes are the display brightness compared to modern displays and the mess of cables / converter box.
Neither of which is a deal breaker just minor annoyances.
By no means let this discourage you from buying a Cintiq if you are an artist though - I've been doing design/illustration for years and nobody's better than Wacom - you will be very happy.
The form factor is absolutely perfect for where I like to draw (curled up on the couch) I hooked it up to a Mac Mini so i have a very small "couch Based" setup and fulfilled my desire to be untethered from my desk and rejoin the rest of the wolrd again.

I've owned this Cintiq for a couple months now and I love it. It works great! I haven't customized any buttons yet since the default set-up works well for me and it includes one button that toggles between screens- very handy. Keep in mind that it will be easier to set-up if you have a video card with two DVI connectors. [...]

Comments about Wacom Cintiq 12WX 12.1" Interactive Pen Display:
I cannot use a mouse or keyboard because of repetitive stress injuries. As an alternative to a mouse I purchased a Cintiq and an Intuos tablet.
I have been using them for the last 2 weeks and I have to say that they're awesome. I use the Cintiq for my desktop, the one with the screen, and the Intuos wireless tablet with my laptop when I'm on the road.
I adjusted to mousing with the pen within an hour and now it's second nature. Combined with voice-recognition this is the best solution for me right now.
I really like the Cintiq because it gives you a second monitor plus I can control my main monitor. It sits on my lap when I'm working, I can adjust its angle, and it is much more precise than the Intuos since you can literally touch what you see and where you want the cursor to be. Without the use of voice-recognition though it might not be the best alternative for non-designers or non-voice-recognition users; I could see it getting in the way of typing or not being utilized to its full potential.
The Intuos, on the other hand, in combination with a keyboard would work just fine as a mouse alternative, so I recommend it in the very least if you're having trouble with RSI from mouse use.
My only criticism of the Cintiq is the calibration. It would be better if it calibrated on 4 points rather than just 2 points.
Honestly, even if I didn't have RSI issues I would never go back to a mouse after discovering this product. btw don't get Wacom's cheaper "Bamboo" consumer product. I tried that too and it's not worth the plastic it's built with.

Comments about Wacom Cintiq 12WX 12.1" Interactive Pen Display:
Wacom's 12" Cintiq has halved my production time and doubled my output level.
As a designer my workflow goes from pencil to digital and back quite often. With the Cintiq I am able to forgo scanning, printing, importing just to get a sketch in digital form to send an email that communicates my concept and direction before spending hours on the approved direction.
Now that photoshop is my sketchbook — my small thumbnail has now become a robust sketch with more accurate color, proportion, even dimensions that allow for a more precise interpretation of my concepts and ideas. This alone has saved me a ton of time with the "That's not what I interpreted from your sketch," syndrome that I am sure every designer has faced. Once approved this sketch becomes an amazing underlay the can be taken to incredible levels.
Being able to see what you draw/write/create/move/interact really does remove all barriers from analog to digital. The access keys really do allow you to basically work keyboard free and with a combination of professional creative programs you really do have unbridled potential.
The only negative note, for the 12" specifically, is that I really expected the unit to be a lot more portable. Due to the external converter unit It becomes quite an ordeal to set up shop in a remote location. It is lap friendly so although you are tethered you do have flexibility and mobility within your setup workstation.

Comments about Wacom Cintiq 12WX 12.1" Interactive Pen Display:
Sketching and painting directly into Photoshop has never been easier. It took a while for me to realise that I hadn't allocated an 'undo' button on the Cintiq - a necessity with a regular Wacom tablet as my process was always back and forth. The Cintiq removes the need to adapt hand-eye disassociation as with a Wacom graphics tablet.
On the downside, but I was aware of this before purchasing, the accuracy of the pen drops off at the very edges of the screen. For this reason, and the small 1200x800 resolution screen, I wouldn't want to be using it for Flash or any program with fiddly little toolbars or bezier handles, but I strongly recommend it for direct paint and draw applications.
The bundled "Sketch Pad" from Corel is a fantastic little application which really utilises the full features of the Wacom technology included a nice and natural tilt control for the default pencil tool.
If I was going to replace my monitor and use only a Cintiq I would recommend the 21UX, however the 12WX is a fantastic accessory for any graphic artist.
