This lightweight and strong camera strap has two full-length rubber tracks woven into the material to prevent shoulder slip. I was a bit shy of these until I used them on a number of cameras. Seems like the camera strap never wants to fit into the case sensibly. This way you can put on two small fittings on the camera body and put the strap itself into a front pocket or fold and fasten it to the bag handle with a velcro strap.
You of course have to be careful the snap engages correctly when you remove the camera and attach the strap! But I have never had one of these come loose on me after more than a year of use on several bodies.
It is also nice to be able to remove the strap on a tripod so it is not getting in the way and flopping about. But mostly it seems to solve the problem of how to get a camera to fit into a compact case easily and still have a decent neck strap. The two fittings hang down on each side of the lens when you put the camera into one of those bags where the camera goes in lens down making a very clean fit.
And mounted to the bag handle with a single velcro strap the neck strap is handy and easy to remove first before you open the bag to dig out the camera.
I have sewn short fitting straps into the camera body fittings to make absolutely sure they cannot slip at that point once I decided this was a good system.

Not bad at all but...
...would be much better if the strap had another two inches of length to it.

At last a decent strap.
as an avid tripod user, attaching-detaching camera straps becomes a serious hassle.
i have been looking for a decent strap for some time (its really been an issue for me) i like the thin, non-slip ones. previous options were either, thick, slippery or had metal clips that may ZZbang a lens. this one has it all.

I was worried that the quick clips would not give me the secure feeling, but they do, I have never had it fail or drop the camera. It is a great product if you want to use the camera with and without the strap in place.

Comments about Tamrac N-17 Anti-Slip Quick Release Camera Strap (Black):
This is a great strap. I'm a fairly experienced amateur, and carry gear in a variety of conditions, and recently used this strap for the first time during a Peru trek. It was great: light, strong, anti-slip, inconspicuous. The clips are fantastic. It was easy to remove the strap from my camera and attach my camera to my Tamrac backpack straps. This strap is an excellent value.

Great to have when you are using a tripod so the strap can be disconnected and out of the way. I bought this one for my new Canon 7D. The only downside is that a previous version that I bought for my Canon 30D came with the metal rings that attach to the camera instead of the strap. This product did not come with the rings.

Comments about Tamrac N-17 Anti-Slip Quick Release Camera Strap (Black):
This is a great product the quick release connections make it easy to remove the strap when your shooting on a tripod and don't need it getting in you way. The anti-slip feature keeps the strap in place while your working in the field. It also gives you a much more secure feeling than the Tamrac Shock Absorber Strap if you have a heavy lens mounted to your camera. There is no bounce or sag in this strap!
I purchased this product and received it missing one of the quick release connections that attach to the camera. I called B&H and they refered me to Tamarac! After several emails to Tamrac I Gave Up! Luckily for me I already owned one of the Tamrac Shock Absorber Straps so I have been able to interchange my straps.
Be careful if parts are missing return it as you might never get the parts you need!

Comments about Tamrac N-17 Anti-Slip Quick Release Camera Strap (Black):
Very basic strap with quick-releases and non-slip surface. Everything works fine and quality seems good. If you have heavier gear, you may want an Optech or something with a little more stretch, but for an inexpensive, non-flashy replacement for your stock "steal me" strap (really... I love that "Canon 5D Mark II" is visible from behind you when you have the stock strap over your shoulder), it'll do the job.

Needed unobtrusive but functional strap to replace stock 'neon' yellow OEM strap; N-17 filled bill easily. Was as comfortable or moreso than OEM, and did not slip from shoulder. Easy to install, too.
