The Gary Fong Delta-2 Flash Diffuser is a handy accessory that will diffuse the harsh light emitted by the minuscule flash built in to compact point and shoot cameras. The Delta Diffuser is a flat filter wedge that mounts on to the telescopic lens of many point and shoot cameras. The diffuser has mini pyramids to further disperse the light. When the light hits the rear of the panel, the tiny pyramids send light all over the place, lighting up the entire wedge, and lighting the ceiling, and the entire room.
Please see the compatibility table below to find out if your camera is compatible with this model. Also available in a slightly larger size (Delta-3).

Comments about Gary Fong Delta-2 Digital Point & Shoot Flash Diffuser (Size 2):
I bought this for my point and shoot Sony DSC 300, which has manual mode, as well as the ability to change the flash strength.
Depending on what I'm shooting, it seems to help, but I can't figure out when it works well and when it doesn't. I've tried moving it around so it has a different orientation relative to the flash, and it does change the way the flash fills, but not in a consistent way that I can predict.
Fiddling with the aperture settings, flash strength, and the diffuser, I can get it to help sometimes.
Useful, but not the solution that a diffuser generally is.

Comments about Gary Fong Delta-2 Digital Point & Shoot Flash Diffuser (Size 2):
When I first tried this diffuser I couldn't see any difference. Then finally one day I did. I don't know what determines how much difference it makes but it's hit or miss. It seems to work best when photographing someone pretty close to the camera. When the subject is further away, it tends to underexpose. It also changes the white balance of the image quite a bit towards the yellows. It works ok but it's not a miracle worker.
